Time for a good update! Over the week, I had my damn wisdom teeth taken out, I should have done this YEARS ago, it feels so much better! In other news, the CRX is back at the shop! The cage is all finished up and ready to go. The Tilton pedals are mounted in nice and tight, it really couldn't have fit any better.
Mocking up the seats. No more flimsy seat mounts and the tubing ties the floor together a lot more rigid.
Dash bar, column mount, and pedal brackets all setup.
All loaded up ready to head home
Back in the shop
Dad had to come over and check it out!
And lastly, while surfing the Craigslist Wednesday in my down time, I happened to come across an ad for a '91 Tahitian Green CRX Si that was local. Made the call, luckily the first person to call, and went out and picked it up. Never wrecked, ZERO rust, no paint work, interior like new. This one is staying BONE STOCK!

Nice pick up! LOVE this build. Will be following along.
I've notice the forums drying up as well. I'm an old fart, and am not on Instagram. Even if I was, I like the format here. Writing posts is much more like a blog/diary than a running picture feed, ya know? Keep updating this one!

You lucky bastard, it's hard enough for me to find one clean rex in NY without paying an arm and a leg, and you got 2?!
It's really coming along nice, love the cage layout and all the part choices so far. The custom seat mounts are also a very nice touch.
The Titi Green is also a beaut, it's really cool to have one highly modded and one stock. It'd be great if you found a third one in another color and had it lightly modded for your Pops, I think it'd suit him well lol.
Bump for more progress!

Finally got a little time to work on my won stuff. We've been so busy getting a 2015 BRZ ready for SEMA that I have zero time for my own projects.
I glassbead blasted the engine, used MIL-Spec #9 bead, it gives it a nice finish, but not over killed. I HATE painting aluminum engines, it never lasts and looks cheap IMO. I put in all new timing components, PRB tensioner, longer upper guide, and finished off with an HPT lower billet guide. I also started installed all the new titanium fasteners which look amazing as well as save weight, I LOVE these. Lastly, I started putting on a couple K-Tuned parts, i can't wait to get this all built.
Lastly, just a photo a friend of mine took of my '64 Impala for the hell of it

Fantastic pic, love the cleanliness and "all business" look of everything!
Ever think about switching the stands around?

I love the impromptu blasting station! But seriously, I don't know what I'm more excited to see: the CRX or the BRZ.
Ok, the CRX
Ok, the CRX
