car looks great, what tire psi are you running.

I get the same wear with mine, ( same bridgie ) , going to try extra low next track day ( tried from 30 psi to 18 psi ) the lower psi gave me much better/flatter wear.

I tried running mid 20s and wore the shoulders too much. I usually run HOT 32 F and 34 R. Seems to work well for me.

Not too much going on with the Civic. Been sitting in the garage. Currently been upgrading my new Tacoma with a small lift, tires, roof rack...

It's an awesome truck. They did a great job with the redesign. The new engine is different. Most power up top, nothing we aren't used to. The transmission is weird. Likes to get into 6th every chance it can get. Makes the truck bog down but bigger tires helped that problem. I love the truck now that I have adjusted to the changes.

Love the civic. As for the Taco, that is one thing i've read about the new transmission. it shifts weird and not really where you want it to. i stuck with a second gen taco lol

Yea stock it was ridiculous. Bigger and heavier tires helped though along with just putting it in Sport mode and setting the top gear at 5 on the highway and 4 around town. I like all tacomas but the 3rd gen issues are overshadowed by the good looks, IMO.

Very nice coupe and nice taco. If you got a manual you wouldn't have that problem hehe

just went through every page, love the build.

i want to ask how much more fun you have that it is still the stock motor over a swap. is a swap something way down the line? it seems like your car is a simple way to get into the auto-x/RR vibe... which sort of interests me at the moment but funding a build with a swap is kind of pushing any sort of budget

Hey Pearl! Thanks for stopping in and taking the time to check out my mess of a progress thread, haha. A B swap is a lot of money. No doubt about that. The stock single cam is plenty of motor. There are a lot of Miatas out there and I run with them every event. I have improved each event and become faster and faster. Say you spend $5k on a swap... I promise you will enjoy $5k worth of track time more :D

This car is a blast! Simple, fast enough, and fun!

I think this is what i like the most!

I play with the idea of doing these kind of suspension mods to my Fit, or a high mileage Civic. I can't put crazy suspension in the Fit with a baby on the way, even though we do not daily drive our Fit. I imagine the cost would be pretty close to being the same

Tossed in some new motor mounts this week. My stock mounts have been long past their prime. Went with Innovative steel mounts with 75A hardness. Fired up the car after install and though "what have I done" these things are pretty stiff. I still have the stock torque mounts on, although I doubt they are doing much. I have 50 miles on the mounts and not sure how I feel about them. Also installed a solid shifter bushing as well. As for driving the new setup, I love it! Feedback is amazing and I cannot wait to get back on track next week to test it out.

Shout out to JHPUSA for always having what I need.

So new mounts are good, or too hard? :D

Btw, if mounts are too hard, is that bad for the chassic?
