After roughing out the body work, i drove the car around for a few days to see if i had to make any last minute changes to the driveline.

Well sure enough the d/s axel was shot, and the belt was jumping off the pullys

Sooo i broke out the tig, and welded my own lip on the pulley to prevent belt jumping.. Several hundred miles and lots of boost later, and its working perfectly

I also took this time to make my final detailing of the engine bay

After that, she got a few good primes and blocking, and it was time to lay some color down. I made my own rear quarter patches, and rolled the front and rear wheel arches for larger, wider tires

ALSO please keep in mind the front windshield is BROKEN, thats why its got tons of overspray on it

After that i bolted her together to see what shell look like

And that brings us to here. I stil have alot to do on the car, like sand a buff it, and i gotta tint the rear lights, Paint the fog covers in front bumper satin black, and a few other odds and ends. But not bad for a quick 7 month turn around

I also replaced the rear suspension, and added a type R rear sway bar. I got custom door panel inserts to match the red stitching throughout

Eh i got the lip with the car, it was broken in the middle and the edges were broken off, but i fixed it and put it on. Thats also the original bumper of the car, it was pretty hurt with rock chips and scuffs.. and the lovely spray bomb of course, but i fixed it all and shaved the license plate holes as well. I also fixed the grill sourround which somebody hacked out ( I would have left the center grill and painted it black) and smoothed it all out.

The car pulls really hard tho and makes about 10 psi at redline.
We rebuilt the whole tentioner setup and it works much better then before

Thanks JDMH2B, my dads been building fast cars for longer then most people on this website have been alive,He was heavy into street racing in his hometown of Brooklyn,ny in the late 60s and 70s, and he ran 10 seconds in the early 70s,was friends with bill jenkins, dyno don, ect ect, built 100s of race cars, and has helped me build dozens of fast, 1st place show winning rides From complete engines/tranny/rear end overhauls, to custom wiring and swap harness.. Just keep him away from the body work!!!! Plus for a guy his age, he loves new age, fast fuelinjected 6 speed cars, and is not your average carbd, 4spd type of guy.

no i just think its funny you dislike the rest.. Its a simple clean car with minor cosmetic upgrades, what is it that you dont like??

I dont mind people having opinions, but i built this car as a clean, well detailed daily driver, and being in the car business i can tell you its much nicer then alot of peoples "show cars"

Maybe i should of waited to post finished pictures of the car with new rims, and the body all together and buffed out because the pics clearly arent doing the car justice
