the ef2 is the japanese version of the euro spec ec9 and us spec 1.5 dual point injection 4g (not sure on the model number) came in saloon , hatch and shuttle, all with the d15b dualcarb 16v, powersteering , a/c etc. the late spec hatch like mine shared the same facelift bumpers . trim and accessories as the ef9. its a 1991 25x s-limited

no! haha i did look for a history of the ef2's to put a link too but couldn't find one, i know a bit about them ive had 26 4g civics so far! dont know too much about the us versions though. top spec there is the si? am i right?

i like the way the us has fuel injection on all models, as we have carbs only fi on the 16.16v / Si and vt / siR

your HB should be classified as an EF9 because of the JDM front end. the EF2 is a sedan. where are you from? Just look at your VIN and that will tell you what you have. but I'm 95% positive you have an EF9 and not an EF2. i know Honda part numbers are classified in the following way:
SH2: crx
SH3: HB
SH4: sedan
SH5: wagovan or shuttle
