updatorss

got a new mount for my cobra radar its not the best radar but it gives SOME notification

also picked up a new OEM black column cover, since mine was painted. unfortunately they sent me two bottom pieces and no top piece so yay for having to ship **** all over

and picked up these mirrors from shg easy e. they arent apr but they are good quality and in good condition, im not ashamed to put them on my car.

Ha, nice cop on those mirrors! Whats not legit about them? Looks better than most of the ones I see. You buy mad stuff from him haha, would you buy dirt if he had it for sale? :p

I dont even use my radar anymore, I have a nice escort but just not worth having it. Its like false security. I also had to buy a suction cup mount similar to that, works very nice.

Boo for Honda not sending the right parts!

hahaha yeah thats funny but true, you would be able to eat of his dirt lol.

EGs dont have the best air circulation, thus having a radar there makes it hard to defog on those cold nights. I should put mine back though, you never know.

well tonight i decided to start working on my mirror bases. it wasnt fun to say the least

i decided to use the left over pieces of ABS plastic from my top one splitter.

took the mirrors off

tools i picked up to aid the process

1st rough draft

and after a little more trimming and sanding i have a version im ok with. here it is mocked up with some bolts i had lying around

i still have more to do on them before i get the finished product i.e. more sanding because it still doesnt fit quite right at the top, weather stripping around the outside, and sand and repaint them.
but for right now i am pleased. The car will be down for about 2 weeks while i wait on my power steering lines from encore dc5

more to come!

Ahh I see. Those bushings look good on there. Let us know how much better it feels once you get it back on the road!
