I just brought this up in another forum. He is only a wireharness and brakelines away from success. All of the stuff is just sitting, the car hasn't been touched in 2 years. I hang out with him on a regular basis and hammer him to get this thing done but I don't think he has the motivation anymore unfortunately. But that can all change, hopefully I will be proved wrong.
edit: nvm, not years, I think Nov 08 was the last time it was touched.

The last few times I've hung out with him he's always brought up his hatch. All of his stuff is still there, he hasn't sold off parts for money or anything like that. He's a busy guy and the garage is getting pretty cluttered so I'm sure it's taking away from the motivation to work on it. I'm going to keep campaigning for her completion.

This thing could have been insanely awesome. I think his major pitfall is that he is the biggest perfectionist that I know and it led to him never half-assing anything and eventually stringing the timeline along so long that he eventually lost motivation. His heart was definitely there in 2007 and the following years but his business ventures have taken up much of his time (rightfully so).
He threw in the towel a few weeks ago and sold the K20A swap, I know he's looking to sell the shell too. I think the only reason he hasn't put anything for sale up yet is just because he doesn't want to deal with idiot kids on H-T. If somebody was really serious about buying the shell just shoot me a PM and I'll pass it off to him.
