finally got somethin to go off...ej1 content
im in okinawa, my car is in the states....im a world away from my car. but it only takes dedication, and persistance to build somethin even wen ur 15 hrs ahead of ur project/family/americans. i bought a white 95 ex coupe about 2 years ago after some asswipe crashed my 95 teal bubble. i bought this beat *** coupe for 1200 i drove it home and found out it was overheating so after carefully looking at all of the possible problems i found the crank pully bolt was "welded" in there, so i said wat i live by "F**k it" an got myself another d16. i dropped it in...ok so the first time i ever removed any engine, and replace it, all by myself, and of course thanks to honda tech. had the three most important things in the world right next to me the whole time, a heineken, my laptop and my tool box. accomplished in only 17 hrs. i member tha day like it was yesterday. ok so next, car runs, runnin smoothly...somewhat, so i put my old suspension on the coupe, function form type 2 coilovers. for a while the car was slammed on hubcaps. i purchased wat i believed to be a mandatory piece for any eg, jdm headlights and corners. then my boy came across this awesome deal for me. a black ex coupe which i needed cause i wanted a white coupe with black "real" black interior...none of tha spray painted ****. after tha was done, we parted out the black one...it pretty much paid itself off. then i replaced the beat *** doors wit the doors off the black coupe, installed and wired my jdm power folding mirrors, gutted the car once again, and drove down to NC to get the car painted. got the car back, and started putting it together, i got a new jdm center console. then i always wanted a thule rack, so i got one. i also purchased a new jdm center console, to replace my beat *** one. so yesterday, my wheels came in. i called driveline in cali back in november to order me some work xsa wheels....thas pretty much it for now. xcept for the jdm cluster i jus purchased las nite. i dun have the luxury of takin pics myself, but my brother does an awesome job of lettin me kno wat comes in and sendin me pics. so these are jus a few pics...more will come tho.

16x8 +10 around. and the wiring is gonna be a pain in the ***. me personally, wen u run it thru the doors, take the extra time to pin them into the wire harness. is gonna seave u a world of trouble down the road. follow the guidlines...theyre on h-t, and jus take ur time, if u get frustrated, walk away, for a couple come back n finish.

did u change the housing on the mirrors? or did u just bolt up the jdm ones? cuz i keep reading that they used different mirrors and that the jdm ones are convex and u cant really see out of them cuz of the angle that they are made.

wat? where r u reading this. i bet those people have never even seen a p/f mirror. dude, for real take my word. i installed my mirrors on my coupe, and the ONLY difference from the jdm ones and the usdm ones is that they fold on the push of a button. thas it.

i read it in these threads:
https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...t=glass+mirror
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/definitive-92-95-civic-power-folding-heated-mirrors-locks-windows-diy-guide-2530448/
thats why i asked, imma try just installing them first, cuz it looks complicated to switch them out, and were did u connect the wire that goes to the 12 volts? i have manual window and such i havent dont the power conversion yet, and what kind of gauge wire did u use?

i think its a 12 gauge. dun quote me on that tho. i took a sample wire to best buy and had them cut me about 4ft of wire. about the conversion... u have manual windows, find an ex and cut the interior harness out...u might as well do the complete conversion. p/w windows and mirrors.... then wrk from there. btw, if u need door panels, i got greys for sale...70 plus shipping...great condition.

about those links. the first one is useless to u, cause ur gonna get a mirror jus like the one u take off. no removing screws or stoopid **** like that. and the second one, unless u found some heated mirrors, in which case ull be on another level, u dun have to worry bout that either. the jdm ones, look jus like ur usdm ones, they bolt up the same way. the only difference is u have to run an additional set of wires to the relay and to the switch. but the guide i posted up is somewhat dummy proof. jus remember wat color wires are....is not too hard, jus time consuming, word of advise, lots of smoke breaks, and wen ur gettin frustrated, 30 min break. watch a tv show. thas wat i did
