This is a nice looking car, great progress so far. Sucks about the old one but you seized it as an opportunity and that's awesome.
I have got to know, though, where did you get those black fittings for the fuel line and (more importantly) the return line?? I can find them in black for the 5/16" feed line but the only 1/4 fittings I find are blue!

I may have missed it, you gonna install a s2000 clutch master cylinder? Give it a little more of the clean look. And why didnt you use stainless lines from the MC to the Fire wall.
Car looks great tho. That pink says LOOK AT ME. Great job!

What are your plans for the exterior of the car? Have any plans for the inside yet?

Sucks to hear about the incident but at least you didnt give in and bought a replacement.
I read that you used a harbor freight hvlp gun, I have a few questions since I'm a rookie at this.
- They have lots of HVLP guns, which gun did you use for primer, base coat and clear?
- Nozzle size matter?
- What size is your compressor and is there a psi setting for it (if yes what psi did you set it at?)
keep it up!!

Re: EKsedan...Finally, a reson to start a build thread! Paint.Full Tuck.
Thanks! I'm ready! lol
Gotta love em! Not many people do!
Thanks man!
As of right now the plans are as follows:
Exterior:
SIR Bumpers
Side markers
EK9 mirrors (look better than stock)
Championship White in color
ect. ect.
Inside:
Black carpet
Acura EL leather rear seats (already have)
Recaro or Bride seats in the front
Steering wheel and quick release
ect. ect.
Some things may be subject to change.
It will get there slowly but surely!
Yes I did use a Harbor Freight HVLP gun to paint and to be honest their not half bad! lol. I was supprised on the outcome. I did notice that they are basically a one time use gun. I bought one gun for primer and one gun for base and clear coat and cleaned them thorougly before each use.
As for the type of HPLV gun I used and the tip size... I bought the better of the guns (I believe they were about $50-$60 a piece) and I just used the tip that came with the guns for primer, base coat, and clear coat.
My compressor setup is a Kobalt 60 gallon compressor that you can get from Lowes or Home Depot. The size of the tank is not as big a deal as the CMF that the compressor pushes. You want a compressor with a decent sized tank and a high CMF rating. I paid about $600 for mine minus the water seperators and hoses and the wiring to install the compressor. My advice to you is to READ READ READ and READ some more lol. Just research it.
As for the PSI that I sprayed with. I believe I sprayed between 11-13 psi if i remember correctally. You have to get the right pressure inorder for the paint to atomize correctally.

Re: EKsedan...Finally, a reson to start a build thread! Paint.Full Tuck.
Finally some updates! Sorry for the lack of progress...well at least on here...been busy working 50+ hours a week and the car. Not really much time to update the thread. Pics are shitty but so is the camera.
Well for starters the motor is finally in the car!
Wiring harness is tucked in the bay just need to finnish up the interior part of the harness like the tach, fuel, ect. Here's as it sits right now.
I decided to try the tie-dye carpet trick because the carpet in the car was a wreck and money is tight. so took a trip to walmart and for $15 bucks I ended up with black carpet. Im not sure how well the dye will stand up but only time will tell. There was a couple spots that didnt take, but ill live with it for now.
As you can see, the dashboard, wiring, ect. is almost complete.
Got the fuel lines ran with the exception of the return.
Peeled the trash of the trunk and the paint was decent. there were a few dings and you can see where the previous owner tried to get the glue for the badges off with sandpaper, but nothing that bodywork and paint wont fix.
Had to extend the wires to relocate the fuse box...here are the plugs after I extended them...
Here is how it sits now...dirty
Got the main battery line from the trunk to the jumper posts ran.
Trunk is dirty as hell!
Waiting on my Kaaz fluid to come in and should be in by thursday and I should have all the odds and ends tied up by then. Then its time to FINALLY start it! Then...bodywork and paint!

Really all that's left to do is:
install CV shafts
run power wire for fusebox
run power wire for starter
install battery
bleed clutch
change/add fluids
and start!

looks good bro, are you getting a black dash swap too? I think black inside with the champ white would be dope.
