eh2_chick's 93 EG hatch build
wassup HT!
im new here, and dont know much about cars. but me and my bf have the same car and he has been getting me interested
in working on my own car, and giving me new ideas on what i can do to it, so i decided to make a thread and posting up the progress for whoever may care
so let me tell u the story of how i got my car. I have an aztec green 93 civic dx automatic hatchback with a jdm d15b. i first started
driving this car about a year ago, but in order to drive it i had to pay to swap in a new engine because the engine it had was
blown by my brother, driving without any coolant. the car belonged to my brother and he said he would reimburse me for what i
paid. a year later after asking him for my money back, he hasn't, so i just took ownership of the car.
before i took ownership the car was in a fire. well there was a fire inside the car.. my brother had a sound system in it and i guess
one of the power cables touched ground and caught fire on the rear carpet.
this is how it looks now, and how it has looked for the past 4 years..
want to fix that big *** dent right there!
thats from when it caught fire
cant really tell but there is a dent right above the wheel... needs to be pulled
needs a paintjob
it really does.....
so thats what it pretty much looks like today...
and this is how i would like for it to look..
last week i decided to throw on my old valve cover... looks better than the one i have now, i think...
from:
to:
need to get some degreaser and clean up my engine bay... looks nassssty
that is all for now, tomorrow i will post up pictures of the deep cleaning i did on the interior, thanks for looking

Looks good, but just a little TLC and she will shine bright! Not a fan of hatches just a personal opinion about them but when they are well kept and an eye pleaser you can never go wrong! and another girl in the honda scene - I like it!!

For sure. I used to have an automatic 96 hx when i started, converting it to manual was the first major project i did on that car. It's cake, Just get a helms manual to guide you and make your bf do all the heavy lifting and unbolting of rusty bolts.

Re: eh2_chick's 93 EG hatch build
so the back of the car caught fire, and was covered in that extinguishing stuff..
so we took everything out to clean it thoroughly
then we decided to take of the seat covers, to throw them in the washer....
not an easy job taking them off..
then everything back together
it looks waayyyyy better... but still needs new panels and that rear carpet thing
and the weather stripping for the hatch.. they were melted :\
