Default Dr. *****'s Ek Hatch Build... H2b Inside

Welp i finally decided to start a thread about all the crap i have done to my hatch. I dont have the car at the moment, it is at the body shop getting a fresh spray of good ole Taffeta White. I've had the car for a full year this month. Ill admit im not the photographer but here it is

Here are the specs

CAR:2000 Dx Hatch

Engine:H22A
B16 Tranny W/ Ls 5th
Camp1310 Header
Power 68mm TB
Generic LS CAI

Exterior:
New CTR Front End
Black Housing Headlights
Yellow Foglights
CTR Front and Back lip
CTR folding mirrors
CTR Rear Wing
CTR Thin Side Moldings

Interior:
Power Window,Mirrors, and Locks Conversion
Si Cluster
Ep3 Steering Wheel
Recaro Knock-Offs (next thing on my list are real ones )

Suspension/Wheels
Function and Form Type 2's
Rear Disk Brake Conversion
Maxxim's Gram Light 57cf Replica's (Knock-off for a better term lol)
Fuzion ZRi 195/50/15

When i first got the car, it was a pile to say the least. I bought it without seening it, only seeing pictures. When it shows up i find out the pictures that were sent to me wernt even current and there was more stuff wrong with the car then was told to me. I was told all that was missing was the motor and front seats, still had a clean title however. Car shows up, Carbon fiber hood is cracked and the clear coat on it is screwed up, the front fender was dented, and the guy freaking CUT OUT the driverside motor mount bracket. It was riced out 7 ways from sunday. I didnt have a lot of money when i first got it, my job paid me 15 cents above minimum wage. So first i put a motor back in the car. Good ole D15B

I then left the car as is, and just drove it, some **** happened at work and i lost my job, and pretty much all the money i had left from when i should my prelude went into buying this car and putting a motor and seats back in it. I then obtained a new job with double the pay. And so the build begins. I then took off the shitty Carbon Fiber hood and replaced it with an ek9 from N1 Concepts .

I then had a minor accident while driving, kinda ran over a curb and f'd up my suspension and wheels. So i got these

And here are a couple pics of how the car has been up untill about a month ago. You can see the huge dent in the fender where it looks like a very large person sat on my fender.

I was pretty happy with how the car was for a while, so i started to do some-non exterior work. I put in my Power window conversion, and started to decide on a new faster motor for it. My brother is a die-hard B series fan, but i see so many cars with B series motors in them (no offense to the B series, its a great motor) i just want to screw with something neither of us had done before. My prelude had an h22 in it and i loved the hell out of it. And this is how the H2B was born.

It took a few months for me to beable to save up and buy everything to put it together, but we finally got it in the car back in January.

We had bad weather for a few months, so nothing got done on the car.

Then i got some more cash and got my new front end. The reason i went with a whole front end was cause my dented fender, when i went over the curb i tore the underneath of my front bumper apart, and when N1 shipped my hood stupid DHL f'd up the corners of it shipping it up here. So i put it on and along with a CTR Wing and front and back lips and have just drove the car since then.

I took the car out to the track a couple of weeks ago and hit a 14.03, with ok traction. I know it has more power behind it, and i can't wait to go out with it again.
The car dyno'd at 191 whp and 149 lbs tq.

Like i said before, the car is at the body shop as we speak getting repainted Taffefta White, I will get it back on monday and i will post somemore pics of it then.

the track here is way shitty, plus it was my first time with the new motor, im sure if i was a better driver and could hook a good 60' it would be 13's im gonna try a couple of things and go back out in a couple of weeks.

Well this pains me to do this very much but figured id post. I was dumb today, how dumb... very dumb. I was going to fast around a corner and a car was coming the other way and they were hugging the yellow line very very close, i was also doing this. I knew that if i just kept going i would have hit them, so i swerved to the right, well that way was a big enbankment, so i over corrected and turned the otherway, as i did this the car spun a 360 and i went through a chain fence and shot through onto the freeway with traffic coming right towords me, the car was still spinning and spun me back on to the side of the freeway out of the way of on coming cars. A big rig had to change lanes really fast in order to stop from hitting me, thank god he did otherwise i prolly wouldnt be typing this right now.

The driverside is perfectly fine, just the passengerside is all beat up. The car is pretty much okay, just need a new hood, passenger fender, passenger door, ctr wing and back bumper. There is only one spot on the car where im worried and thats right under the door where the sideskirt was. It got hit by the fence post and got pushed in, but it doesnt look like it will be that bad. Hopefully it wont cost too much to fix, i have a friend who owns a body shop to hopefully he will cut me a good deal.

As of right now i just need to get it down there and get an estimate to figure out weather i want to pay for it and keep it or pull out my swap and stuff and just total it. I only have libailty insurence so i wont be getting anything for the car.

I will be the first to say, im very lucky to be alive. I had the windows rolled down and everything, and walked away without a scratch. As for the car... here is what it looks like. It starts and runs perfectly fine, windows roll up, alarm works, just cosmetic stuff.

I will post some more pics later. My Gf took pics right after it happened when it was still sitting on the side of the freeway.

That really sucks bro! It was looking really clean.

The car should post a really low 13 with proper traction
