Default >>>dispocrx's Boosted SOHC/ Wiretuck/ Vitara Build<<<56k go bake a cake>>

If you check out my thread PLEASE Bump or Leave some feedback!!! Thanks!

Whats up everyone my name is Brian im from LA, first off i gotta say i've been having this crx for almost 5 years now and have been planning on doing this since i swapped in my d15b soon after i first got it.
About a year ago i had an electrical problem and the day i fixed it my pressure plate broke. I decided i needed a DD and bought a 97 HX Auto. I've been so busy tryin to get everything in order W/ my life i had just kinda put the crx on the backburner cuz things were shitty at work..Well now things are great and I have been workin on gettin this build goin for about a month or two now, and I Finally feel like im making some progress so i decided to start my Build Thread.I've been surfing HT for a few years now i just havent posted much...
This is my first time boosting so im prolly gonna have a lot of questions when i start getting my engine running, i've been doing research for a while now so hopefully i wont sound like an idiot!!

Oh and im also interested in being in the EF SQUAD!!!!

The car: 1991 Honda Crx Gutted from the seats back

Engine:
jdm Sohc D15b Vtec
Vitara pistons 75.5mm
FJT Custom D15b Rods
Stock head
TD05H Eclipse Turbo-until the boost bug tells me to get a bigger turbo
Short tubular Mini-Ram/Log
Ching Chang RICE ebay Intercooler
2 1/2" Intercooler piping
Hondata s300 in p28
Greddy type-s BOV
Dsm 450 CC Injectors
Stealthmode oil line kit
Arp Headstuds
2 1/2" downpipe
Si Transmission
just need to get a map sensor maybe a couple other things like T-bolts n such

Suspension and Brakes As of Right now...Plan on upgrading:
KYB AGX's
****Circuit Coilovers(forgot the name)
Need some springs or thinking full dampener(what should I go w/ I wanna dump this thing!
Integra Rear Disc conversion
Upper Tie Bars

Interior:
Si Interior swap Including Seats
Gsr Black leather center console
DC sports red shift ****(i love it but i might swap with my gf for ep3 stock ****)
Sony Cd Deck
I still need gauges for boost/oil temp/oil pressure

Exterior:
Custom mix Metallic green
Shaved antenna
Shaved Rear Wiper
Pissed crx hood and Normal crx hood...will most likely convert to Sir front end when i get done with the engine build and the new interior/bay paint...
Smoked Bumper lights

Wheels:
Bronze Hx's
15" Axis Racer X Black w/ Rose Gold

Well i prolly forgot some stuff but here are some pics.....Hope you guys like my CRX!

Mock-up:

And out it goes...

Dad came down from houston to help me out...

Head is in awesome condition

Block looks great too, cylinder walls were flawless

Lets start the fun part!

Dont worry, i solder and heat shrink every connection unless im re-pinning, had to use the official baller snap-on cheap soldering iron

Red is for any signal black is of course ground..

Weld weld weld

Damn LA humidity gotta prime so i can go to bed..i hate rust

Start of the dry ice...i should have bought it that day, but i made a stupid move and kept it in an ice-chest outside like 90* and i had half of what i bought the next day...so i got a lil more work to do with that...i did manage to get both the front parts done that day..

Nice car bro

Boost FTW!

I know how you feel man. It seems like if you're not some famous HT big shot your thread gets no love almost. But look on the bright side-at least your thread isn't pages and pages of "looks good bro" and "clean car" etc. That's so annoying!

Looks good so far....we need lots of pics of the engine build....
I had a simular setup in my old coupe except I was running a jdm Z6 with a crower stage 2 cam....the eclipse turbo spooled really fast and made great power down low but often fell short after 6k....They also tend to blow the seals quickly.Make sure your oil drain line is big and straight down ...If you can spare some cash in the future I would look into a ball bearing turbo fo sho

just got off work and decided to check the thread...bout to go work on the rex i might get the bay re-primed tonight...im shootin for it!!

moonrock- i plan on getting a bigger turbo in the future since my block is already built, i've been having this turbo sitting around for a while now and its time is now..haha

well goin back to work after gettin off of work...only difference is the payoff in the end, and i think havin a sick crx is definitely better than cash!

aight guys, its friday and i have the whole weekend to get some work done on the crx!
Tomorrow i think im going to pick up some more dry ice and finish stripping out the tar mat....I might pull out the front crossmember and the rear subframe too, actually, i'll prolly shoot to get those out...
My local Snap-On guy builds racecars and he told me a place that does incredible powder-coating so i'll probably get those powder-coated.
Also might take off the rear brake assembly so i can get the new brakes ready too,(might powdercoat the trailing arms too!
I still havent decided on the right color for the bay, i just need to take a trip to the paint store..
Well Thats all for now! I cant wait to make some progress this weekend, hopefully paint is soon.

BUMP!
