The point being made by the other posts were that she doesn't NEED a cage, doesn't NEED to gut that car, etc. etc. and THAT is why it is considered a riced out vehicle.

Now onto the subject of Joey and HT... they don't cover race events because honestly there is no appeal to the general public since cars that are used for racing aren't pretty and interesting to look at. They're purpose built, the events are based around racing (which is a difficult aspect to capture in pictures), and to be honest... those guys just aren't into racing like that. Sure some heads at HT and NWP circuit race their cars and there are events like Honda Challenge and stuff that are cool - their goals are usually to focus on the show cars and new products. 80% of the parts use in racing today have been used forever... the same fuel regulators, manifold designs, companies, etc... there's a reason why they don't change - it's because they work. How would you know something works or not if it sits in a parking lot on sunny days only?
You have some great points but we can't really say that she didn't need a cage because if she did perforamance oriented things we could say the same thing. She doesn't need an engine swap and she doesn't need a sway bar. People don't need to build cars, they are choosing to. She is not building a race car. It's a show car. Therefore she doesn't "need" to go fast. It needs to look good and acquire enough points to win at a competition.

Well said. I couldn't agree more. The car looks great and they have been making progress with it. Lets give them back the thread.

dispite what "The Fast and Furious" has taught us Japan has a huge show car scene. they call it VIP styling. 24" Ashanti wheels? check. Air ride suspension? check. Huge unneccesary exhaust tubes? double check. pimping out Ultra Expensive Luxury Cars that would surely void the warranty? priceless.

Great looking car. Can't wait for the H2b swap.

How did you get that interior so clean? I gutted my car and it has dirt packed together from 1998, lol.

Let's be honest, if this was a dude building the car and not a chic, everyone would be saying how idiotic it is to waste money on interior paint and a bunch of **** that is not being used properlly.

At the end of the day it's her car and she can do wtf she wants with it but if it was a dude it would be a different story.

this picture has inspired me to put my moogen wing back on.

your car looks great. is there wrinkling in the front fenders from rolling them?

Nope, I still would have said what I said. Not EVERYONE has the same mind set as the leg humpers and "haters".

If she was a dude, chick, homo, transex or what ever. If that person puts time, sweat and blood into something, I respect it and the work, regardless of the cost. I know how it feels to put so much time into something for me, then have a BUNCH of nut swingers go crazy.

I came back because this made me laugh. It gets more praise because it's a girl. Duh, it's the internet.

My stance is the same. This is the appearance subforum, the cars here are for looks. If you wanted a technical thread, you should stay in the tech section. If you are a die hard racing guy, there is forced induction, drag racing, circle track, and NA subforums. This subforum is for appearance builds, which is exactly what this is. The car is all show, no go. Just like 'stance'. You can call it rice if you want, I do.

I just went through this thread. Very nice seeing a girl do most of the work herself. Keep doing it the way you want not what people think you should be doing. Can't wait to see more pics.

Sorry for I revive this, but I need to give my opinion about cage or not cage...... I know that this is a show car, but for me a rol cage is something that can't be neglected, don't matter if it's a streetor a track car, if you go fast you need to be protected, and after you roll over you'll feel very unsafe on a normal car...after I crash my old car I can't trust on a fragile Shell that came from a factory
I have a del sol, so I actually don't need a cage since it's reinforced from factory....but on the long run I plan to buy na eg6 and a rx7 fd3s for collection only and both will have a cage...cal me rice or not, but if you wanna drive fast it's better you're protected....by the way, I'm not from USA and our roads are lot diferente than yours, ours are narrouwer and bumpier and have suicide rabbits

By the way, nice job with your ek, I'm not sure about that spoiler, I believe that an ek9 will be pretty, but it's your car and your taste and if you like it that's enough for everybody else respect I've follow this threath for a while and saw that you've done most of the work yourself, good job...... Any swap planned for the future???? Good luck....

Keep updating this thread with pictures and progress. Don't mind the ******* retards that have nothing good to say. At the end of the day if they don't agree with your build they can send you money so it's built the way they ******* want it done. Otherwise they can suck a fat one with their "pointless this and that bullshit." People can't seem to grasp the idea that your doing this to please yourself. And as I see it your the one spending your hard earned money on YOUR build...so do as you wish with your money and your car! The ******* haters("car enthusiast ") got peanut butter and jealous all over their dick!!

A white knight appears to save the damsel in distress. Thanks again, for stating that very overly used phrase of "someone building their car for themselves." It's a good thing you came in here to clarify that, we were very confused, Thank you.
