91' EE Wagovan Build...boost inside!
What's up H-T. I just picked up another project car and thought I'd share my progress since my last build came to a tragic end before it was completed.
She's a 1991 Civic Wagon DX 5 spd. It had a blown engine but the body is as straight as they come. Clean title, zero rust, zero bondo, and only mild dings/scratches here and there. Paid $300 for it. My plans are to swap in a JDM D15B and boost it. Besides boost, I'll be doing suspension work and minor cosmetic stuff.
Enough yapping...here's some eye candy.
The day I brought her home.
Stay tuned for lots more updates.

I wasted no time in finding a motor. Picked up a JDM D15B locally. (Props to Nikita)
Also picked up a set of these (15" Enkei 92)
Stay tuned.

The wagon is gonna be sick bro. Can't wait to see the progress on it. And when I get the swap in the rex, you're more than welcome to the Z6 head and trans in the car now. I just have to find a place in Vegas to park my car safely for a week. Lol.

I went ahead and inspected it thoroughly to see what needed to be done besides the obvious.
Interior is pretty mint besides this funky stain. Also, the seats have the typical bolster wear.
The center vent needs to be replaced..no biggie.

After a few days of sitting around, I had the wago towed to my buddy's place so we can do the heart transplant.
Check out that "timing belt". Probably the same one from 1991
Took us about an hour to go from this...

Along with the obvious fluids, I'm replacing the timing belt, water pump and valve cover gaskets.
The motor mounts were pretty beat up so I'm using some Energy Suspension inserts temporarily. (Props to Ben)
I decided to clean the trans for the hell of it.
Looks new!

Went ahead and put the new motor back in but then this happened...
Click Me!!!!
Turns out the fuel line from the motor is smaller in diameter than the stock one so fuel escaped because the clamp wasnt on tight and eventually caught fire on the alternator.
No worries thought, nothing got damaged haha

With the fuel line situation handled, the motor started up on the first try and ran like a champ, idled perfectly and best of all no CEL's.
There was a faint ticking noise which we thought was coming from the head so we went ahead and did a valve adjustment.
Turns out the ticking was coming from the trans/cluch and eventually went away after a few minutes.
