Default 88 Civic Wagon RT4WD

Hey everyone! I picked up this beauty last Friday and I've been loving every minute of owning it. It's an '88 Civic Wagon/Wagovan RT4WD. I traded my DB2 for it. 154k on the body but the D15 only has ~46k.

Here she is when I met the guy. He kept the wheels, sadly.

And when I took her home:

The first thing I did was have my girlfriend iron some patches on the ripped CRX seat.

Then I picked up some wheels. They're not in the best condition, so I plastidipped them white until I go home for Christmas break. I plan to polish the lip and paint the inside white. I love white wheels, despite how hard they are to keep clean.

I got a call this morning that my tires were in so I went and had them mounted. I'm pretty happy! They definitely need to be painted right, but for the amount of time and equipment I had, they will last a month. Here they are on the car!

The only working speaker was the drivers side front, so I replaced the back two. It feels weird that I pulled a ~27 year old speaker out of this car.

Thanks! Me too. I looked into wagons before I found my DB2 but the B17 won me over. I'm really happy with it though. The RT4WD has me excited for some snow.

Thank you! It's North Shore Blue Pearl from the new CR-Z. I personally wouldn't have chosen it, but I'm glad he did. It suits it so well and matches the engine bay (the baby blue that wagons came in) and the interior (navy) very well. I've never owned a car with good paint before, so driving this has been pretty exciting.

I went to the mountains this weekend and took a few photos. I had to take the mud flaps off for the trip, they were too low to drive comfortably and the gravel roads would have torn them off anyways. The 4wd came in handy up there. I'm confident I would have been stuck in my Accord.

I grip taped my pedals. I bought a sheet of it off ebay for $4.50 and cut out what I need. I'm really happy with the results, especially for how cheap it is. I should be able to get another 5-6 cars done with the paper I have left!

I know it's not quite Wagon Wednesday, but here are some photos I've snapped since my last update!
