If you have to cut and weld the shifter plate you can transfer that out of yours, that makes it simple.

I would get a nice no cut shifter for mine don’t want to cut it up and like their fancy billet gated ones like my crx had

Ohhh that’s a legit idea. I’m going to see what he does price wise no one in Reno has money so if I wait him out might get a better deal.

Re: 2000 Civic Hatchback ek9 replica/ restomod
Started taking apart the rear disc setup for new bearings, bushings and powder coating and wowza did it need it. Do people not realize these are 20+ year old cars now and bushings matter?
One side was a little torn
Other side I looked at and realized it was just sitting there. Who ran these last?!
Rear dust shield, I know it helps keep crap out of the rotor/ pad area but does it protect the wheel bearing too? As in could I just leave this off to save a few ounces when I reassemble or not worth ruining the wheel bearings early? Probably keeps heat generated from the rear brakes away from the wheel bearing too should probably keep them. Want to get to 2000lbs with A/C and radio

Well I thought I’d be pulling my RTA bushings today and dropping these off for powder coating but the item appears to be going the wrong way. All the way from the UK to Commerce CA to Reno where I am and now back to Commerce CA. Did it get left on the truck on accident or something?

Did my toe rods when I went 5 lug. Never again. Found a shop who will charge me tweefiddy to replace every bushing since they had a press. That’s my next move when I get to it. I’m going to order energy red bushings. You got allot of patience there doing all that. Cereal.

Holy crap how do you guys do these without this tool? I was full body into cranking the wrench to get these out of here.
I didnt mind doing tie rods and most bushings they’re fairly easy other than needing an alignment after. These suck!
Got them them out and dropped them off at my buddies for blasting and powder coating at least. I think it’s safe to say the hard race bushings will make a SOLID difference.

I do, but I bought the specific tool to avoid doing all these others ways. Don’t regret it one bit.
People love to arm chair part and tool shop about this cars rear disc conversion sheesh
