Well I found out my oil rings are bad.... Thats why my car smokes. It really sucks, I'm in school full time right now so buying a new motor wont happen for awhile. It still runs awesome just smokes a bit....

I did upgrade my radio. I purchased a Honda factory CRV radio with an AUX port. It wired right up and i put the aux port where the cigarette lighter was.

Do you happen to know the part number for the crv radio you used? If not, do you know what year crv it came out of? I searched some on google and when I do find a pic of the same radio, theres no details on what year or part number it is. Please let me know.

I'll get you guys the part number when i get my car back from the shop....

It threw a rod I'm not 100% sure on what I'll do now. I may try to find a cheap integra and pull a B18 swap out of it....... Or ill find a cleaner hatchback than mine and swap over my parts.... Sucks because I'm in school with zero extra income.

So I decided just to buy a different car. My car had to many issues and I could buy a car that was in better shape for less. I picked up a 93 ex coupe. It has a rebuilt D16 and a clean title. Its an EX so power everything and a sunroof! I'll be swapping over my interior, wheels, tires suspension and a few other things. If anyone is interested I am parting out the car. Or you can buy the whole thing minus the things im taking. I will have the stock parts from my coupe to reinstall if needed.

Is the Nova a 71? I used to have a '72, I loved it. The new coupe looks pretty clean. I think those are the best looking generation of coupes.

Good eye, it is a 71. They are fun cars, I've had mine for 12 years now. My dad and I built it while i was in high school. Thanks, the coupe is in alot better shape than my hatchback was. I really like the 92-95 coupes but I like the 99-00 electron blue SI coupes the best. Heres another pic of my nova;

All I've done on the coupe so far is swap over the HX wheels. I had to get some small spacers for the wheels to clear the front rotors. Next week after I finish my finals I'm going to swap over the suspension and rear disc brakes. I am also sending my S2000 seats and rear seats out of the coupe to be upholstered in tan leather. The interior is in such good shape, I'm not going to take the time to swap it all to blue.

My guy charged 200 dollars. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I just dropped off all my stuff to be redone in tan. Hes also going to do the door panel inserts and arm rest to match.

I'm also going to finally be able to swap stuff over this week, I have a few days off before summer term starts.

What would you guys do, Paint the door strips white to match the car or just respray them black with trim paint? I'm on the fence and cant really decide.

try to color match, if it doesn't turn out, it's easy to hit them with trim paint

Thanks, Ya that was what I was thinking as well. Guess ill go buy some paint.

Another question for you guys. I'm going to swap brakes from my hatch and have been thinking of upgrading to SS lines. Have any of you guys done the upgrade? I'm just curious if its worth the money. I figure the brake lines are over 20 years old, may be time to install new ones.

So my muffler had a hole in it. I found a new muffler off of a newer gen civic. I polished it up and installed it. I only had 1200 grit sand paper, wish i would have went to 3000.

Then I started to swap the suspension over

Found out the bushings in the disk trailing arms were bad. Gotta swap them out. So as of now no disk brakes.

New stance (also added spoon style painted mirrors)

I added city lights as well

I'm hopefully swapping the brakes this weekend and am still waiting on my seats to be done.

Thanks man. Sorry about that LOL. Here is the part number p/n 39100-SWA-A50. There are a few of them on ebay for 50 bucks. If you do end up buying one let me know. You need a couple different harnesses to make it work on older civics.

So bigger update, I got my interior finished. I had the blue S2000 seats redone in tan to go with the brown in the coupe. Then I had my guy do the door panels, arm rest and rear seats.

I ordered my new master cylinder so I can install the rear discs. I also installed a short shifter a few weeks ago.
