If it's welded properly. MTO wouldn't even let you register this in Canada.

its still the hatchback. why wouldnt they let you register it? if you get rear ended, and the car is worth saving.... how you think they get the car back on the road??? the section a part, then make it look "clean" and put that **** back on the road

You've literally cut off the crumple zone and replaced it with welds. it will never have the same strength.

Not in Canada. structural damage and it gets parted out and sent to the crusher. The liability for insurance is too risky. there is no such thing as rebuilt title. If it's been written off that's it.
