you have almost identical setup with lower compression and bigger cams

check out page 13 of my build thread and compare the dyno charts.

i have higher CR and smaller cams

even the peaks and dips are similar in vtec for both lol

Degreeing cams is not the same as moving them around on the dyno. If he moved them around on the dyno and didnt try all the different combinations... he never got to the right ones.

Changing a bunch of parts at one time without quite understanding how they come into play together and this is what tends to happen. Good luck optimizing your setup.
If we were all experts and Grade A mechanics, we wouldnt need this forum, thats why its here to learn!

I realize this. Mistakes are how we all learn, and whether we admit it or not we are all students. Thats kinda why I tried to make my point without being too much of a dick. Its not about what parts you bought or how much you spent, its your approach and understanding of what you do have. The ratio of buying/swapping parts to studying differences and thinking things through is off quite a bit.

Learning is one thing. Making unnecessary mistakes is another. There is a ton of information to be found if one takes the time to look for it. With these cars there isn't anything left to learn because it's all been done. You aren't pioneering anything. You aren't discovering any overlooked details. All YOU have to do at this point is find out who did it before you and find out how they did it.

Why you would just buy and throw parts at your build, without any foundation for doing so then cross your fingers and hope for the best, is absolutely beyond me.
