Default spoon vs. oem headgasket

anybody running the spoon headgasket on a b16? i was thinking getting one instead of oem to squeeze a few more hp after my head build. my question is though is it safe to run the spoon hg without upgrading the higher compression pistons? says it raises the compression by 0.2 point without pinging the engine or requiring a higher octane gas. here's my build:

JDM B16A
S2 Valves
S2 Springs & Retainers
S2 Cam Gears
S2 Stage1 Tuner Cams
GReddy Timing Belt

getting ready to order some 310cc RC injectors as well. what do you guys think?

Had one on mine with no problems to report. The compression on a B16 isn't nearly high enough anyways

BTW what octane was I supposed to be running in a B16?

i don't know what you had it in but in the owners manual of my 99 Si and on the gas door it says 91 octane or higher only.

FYI those SPoon Headgaskets are just OEMs with the middle layer removed...
Carefully grind off the rivets and drop that middle layer

if you do that, how to you re-fasten them? or do you just leave them be and let the head-block dowels take care of lining the gasket up?

Spoon.. Overpriced.. Over hyped OEM stuff..

Buy OEM.. you buy spoon at wholesale price basically.
And ALL DOHC VTEC Motors require 91+ OCT.. christ have mercy.
