skunk2 stage 2 cams; i cant get the settings right. help?
one the dyno -2e,+4i made awesome power, but idles like **** and dies. for a while i was running -2e,0i, and that had a 4whp gain across the whole graph. with -2e,+4i there was like a 10whp jump when vtec engaged. can any tuners recommend anything. thanks.

It will depend on the whole setup to really dial them in but I have those exact cams and have used them on a few different engines. What does your setup include? Pistons, milling of your head, things like that. That is the deciding factor. If you go too far in any one direction, BOOM! Try +2 intake and +1 exhaust. These are the magic numbers for stage 2's in most setups. Timing set at 18 degrees also.... I'd bet with these settings the car will idle like normal too, as long as you have any decent compression.

I have mine set at 0 E -1 I. I dyno'd my motor at 197 hp... too many different set ups and too many different variables make it hard to answer you question,.

the two things you do need with sk2 st2 are compression and a dyno tune

set it back to where it made good power and find a tuner that can make it idle correctly....aftermarket cams tend to want a bit more timing at idle...tell him to try advancing the timing till it idles
example...cams with bigger lobes tend to want 20-22degrees at idle where the stock maps run 16-16.5
