Skunk2 Carbon Composite Intake Manifold
Does anyone have any information on this yet?
http://www.skunk2.com/catalog/index.htm
I see the Fuel rail is now available.

Skunk2 has really been stepping up their game lately. It is good to see some new ideas.

i was wondering how long it'd be before someone did a composite manifold for a Honda. Nearly all the manifolds for ls1's are and i have yet to see anything negative about it.

Re: (njn63)
I'd be scared to use one if I was boosted or spraying. One backfire and boom composite everywhere. I've seen plenty of cars that didn't have aluminum manifolds do this.

Sorry for the delay guys, we've been pretty busy here with all the new stuff planned for this year. Lots of new product, new website, and catalog to hit soon.
The fuel rails have actually not hit the market yet. Those should be ready in about a month or two. The composite manifolds will debut mid season hopefully.
Compared to our aluminum Pro-Series manifold, pre-production tests on the composite manifolds showed gains all throughout the rev range with a 6hp increase up top. Plenum volume and runner design have both been modified to get the most out this manifold.
While I got your attention, what do you guys think of the new catalog?

New catalog is not only well designed but also informative. Gives a few nice pointers, ESP like the cam timing how-to.

How about some QUALITY intake manifolds for the h22 guys, that POS you guys sell now sucks.
The rest of it looks great though, thanks for doing the pro h series cams

Re: (mgags7)
Pricing will not be avail. until we have all incured manufacturing costs totaled. It's to early to say... we may run into a snag and have a last min. change that adds $$
We should have prices on the rails posted very soon.

I have read numerios complaints from you and others... but mainly you! What is it exactly that you dont like about the H22 manifold?
I ran one in a H22 swapped CD7 and it made 6-7 Hp over stock. All I had done on that was I, H, E, PP's, CG's, FPR, Wires, and Re-flashed P28.
The only complaint I had about it was that it did not fit the swaps.

Re: (alterdcreations)
Thanks for the link!
I dont read much... it's rare that I need help and when I do, I'm just a few feet away form a wealth of information. For the record... that Accord Wagon was owned while I was employeed at AEM and not Skunk2.
It's possible that the motor I swapped in had additional mods prior to owning it? It had a nice clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel and no bal. belt.
I can see your pain and understand. One thing to remember though... the dual stage manifold is a great design! May not be the right choice for every one. But there is no need to call it a piece of **** or that it's no good!
I've dynoed many cars and lots were down on power and we could not determin why... with all the mods it had? It did not means the car was a piece of ****, it was just a bad combo.
You send the wrong message accross when you dont finish your sentence. If you dont like it... list why so that people know what to avoid and not to avoid the product completely but rather save that mod for a latter date.

Re: (Duckiller00)
BTW
I have a really clean H22 for sale.
New T/belt
New H23 Tensioner
New "One Off" AEM Cam gears (will sell seperate)
Cams have no real wear... so it's either gotta be a low low milage motor or it has cams. and comes w/ a Type S V-cover
Just need a TPS and MAP sensor
