i have the stage 2 skunks and i like them, it has a nice idle and runs pretty good........these cams are mostly for high end, for mine the power curve wasnt as smooth as for say the type r cams...but big gains in vtec.

I had skunk2 stage 2 before & now I have Toda b.
The skunk2 makes good power but only at high end.
The Toda makes power along the low-to-mid range.

In my opinion...the midrange is the most used power band so go with Toda B or Toda C.

yeah they make good high end power, i got my car re-tuned with a new header and custom exhaust and my power band is much smoother this time, but it still kicks in vtec for sure...I never had toda b's, so im just going to say im happy with my skunks for now.

you can't just throw out the biggest cam available to make the most power, without enough compression or propery flowing head you could loose power going from a B to a D

Jun's have a very smmoth powerband.Mine make good power from 5000rpm to 10000 rpm Besides when vtec hits my wheels break loose for a sec!! Jun 3's are the main reason my b16a made 195 to the wheels!!

I have skunk2 stage 2s in my all motor b16...I really liked them but I we had to set my vtect at 6700 to get a smooth powerband out of it...I just wish I could have it at like 5000 or so...just my $.02

got a question...how much more highend does skunk2's make over toda b's and c's? is it that much more noticable? and how much more midrange does the toda cams make over skunk2's?

heres a dyno plot of toda D's and skunk 2 sg2 and sg3.... the stage 3's made the most power... sg 2 wasnt far behind... http://www.importreview.com/re....html

keep in mind that the compression was low... 12:5 and up would probably make **** load of power....

oh yeah did i mention that im selling skunk stage 3's???? look at the sig.
