Ripped Timing Belt, What Can I Expect?
To make a long story short, my timing belt ripped while driving home from work. It was cranked after the rip.
Find more information in the following thread:

What sort of damage can I expect when I pull the head off tomorrow? I assume the valve will be bent, but what else should I expect? What else should I check will the head is off. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Most likely..alot of bent exhaust valves and maybe some intake ones.
You won't know until the head comes off...

o.k this happened to me
story: monday driving to work my car just shut off check for spark and no spark so I pulled the dist cap off and found out it was just the rotor screw that came out
so thursday car shuts off AGAIN! @ stop light so push it to side of road to pull the dist cap off to check rotor and it's still there so I was like WTF! put it back together to try to start it and nothing...... so I thought maybe it's the timing belt so got some tools pull the cover off to see timing belt and it's still intact then turn the motor over by hand and nothing moves
tow truck comes to take my car home, well I cracked it open the next morning and found out my timing belt stripped the teeth so was thinking I woud have bent valves but said expletive it lets see if I do (didn't want to pull the head) so put a new tb on an started it and boom started on the first crank NO PROBLEMS! I WAS SO HAPPY
