Icon6 please tell me why !

i have a Honda civic eg8 and recently changed the engine to a d15b v tech.... she runs like hell now but started to overheat soon after.....i changed the radiator from a single to a double core, still over heated.....thermostat began sticking so i took it out and it still overheats......switched from plain water to Honda coolant and while driving long distances the temperature gauge would still go up while driving slow in traffic and then go back down to half when traffic begins to move again.....what do u think i could do again to fix this problem ?

Never drive without a thermostat. Like suggested, check for air bubbles, bleed the system well. Make sure proper amount of coolant is in the system. Check to make sure your water pump is working. Check for a burnt valve, that can cause overheating also.

did you change the water pump before you swapped in the new motor. number one rule always replace timing belt and water pump when doing any swap
