Default Performance difference of P30 piston vs. P73 in b18c1?

I'm looking to do the budget ITR setup and get a GSR shortblock with B16 head. My question is about what piston I should use. The CTR are a bit too much compression for my setup so I'm looking at the JDM P30 or P73. Both seem to be close in compression, 11.1 or 11.3 to 1. Is there any performance advantage to the ITR pistons over the B16's? Will both pistons bolt onto the GSR rods without modification?

Play with this:
http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...c.php

US ITR Pistons will give you 10.8 in a GSR
US B16A will give you 11.4 in a GSR
JDM B16A will give you 11.6 in a GSR.

Yeah, but I'll be using a B16 head.

there is a option for a b16 head on the c-speedracing calc....anyways i went with p73's on my poor man type r.....works well, but if i could do it again i would went with p30's instead...just a tad bit more compression

Yes, both pistons will work fine without mods to the rods. Its really preference, if you can find P30's cheaper, go with those. They are about .2 in difference in compression. The P73s have a moly coating, but that will wear off with time anyway. Go with whatever is cheaper.

Then drop about 0.2 points off the above numbers with a b16A head.
