this is one of the best threads i have ever read....i have been planning on doing a secrect NA build in the next few yrs LSV. i wanna do CTRS but man the comp will be a pain.

just so i know the first pag has the correct comp. for CTR pistons for all the motor combos that are there right. i just dont want to be like ok doing all this thinking im at like 12.4 and be sitting at 13.3

The list here says I`m gonna get about 11,8:1 comp on my Civic B16 engine with stock PR3 head.

Do I HAVE to use Hondata/Crome/AEM or can I run it with stock ECU?

That still didn`t answer my question

If its possible to drive with a stock ECU I will put my PCT pistons in this weekend..

I'm sure the knowledgeable members of H-T will know if there is the proper clearances in your motor to safely run that setup. Claying your motor is probably a waste of time.
whats the best way to do it.

Have anyone figured this out yet? So that they are absolutely sure.

There are so many people, pages, and companies (fjdistirbutors.com in.ex.) that say the C/R when putting a "PCT B16B CTR" piston in a B16A block is about 11:1. But Altered here, and zealautowerks say it will be about 11.7:1.

http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/temp/pistons.htm
Here is one page that say they are certain about 11:1ish.

Who is doing it wrong, and what are they doing wrong?

Way to do your research there, Slippy!

PCT pistons + P72 head = bad combo!

I got a Gsr stock B18c1 Block with type r P73 head port polish 3 angle and milled. I got some PCT pistons from a friend for free and i want to put that in. What will my Compression be? Need answers to this cause i will be putting these PCT pistons in 2 weeks from now. Also i will be running a oem 3 layer head gasket.

I also heard that the pistons will probably slap my valves and want to know if that is true.

when you looked back at the first page of this thread, what did you find out? When you researched what pistons to use in your motor, what did the information you found tell you about possible contact with the head? Did you come across any other info in your research that suggested that Pct pistons were a good idea to use or no?

Anyone ever ran these on nitrous? Got a itr head with Gsr cams on a b1 block( no I'm not looking for a c/r ratio I can figure that out on my own) with std size pctx pistons. Has anyone ran this setup on high octane above 100? If so, what power did you put down with it and was nitrous used?

Better yet, CAN nitrous be used in this situation?
