Re: OBX ITBs
Interesting. I understand people knock on these ITB's because of the brand, but viperjng, can you say anything bad about your ITB's? Pros and cons?

Re: OBX ITBs
@Red Balut - Lemme put it this way out here in India we dont have many highly modded cars and I always wanted to do something different. Had a B16A swapped into my Honda City(sold in Asia only I think) and later TC'd the same managed to put out approx 278 Whp @14psi on pump gas. Used it for about 1.5 years and got bored. Sold the car and picked up the EG8 swapped it with a B18C5 motor and in 2 months time took it apart to address some smoking issues. Decided to fully rebuild the engine at that time>
Decided to go NA this time around so built the block accordingly. By the time I finished doing up the car I had very liittle funds left and happened to come across the ITB's from OBX. Had 2 choices wait for some time for more funds or just pick these up. I decided to buy them and lemme say I am extremely happy with them.
Quality wise I'd give them
7/10 for the inside finish
9/10 for the exterior finish
10/10 for the smootheness in the linkage
7/10 for operational settings ( the idle adjuster is difficult to access )
10/10 performance
I will be hitting the roller in a few days time and will post the sheet thereafter.
Any more questions feel free to ask.
Jignesh
PS - BTW I have a BNIB OBX LSD for OBX Helical LSD 94-01 Acura Integra GSR GS-R Type-R . Will sell it at list price and throw in free shipping if anybody's interested.

Re: (GoldLudeRay)
I'm definitely gonna get a set..... I think I'ma trade my jeep cherokee to someone for an ef hatch and go the B16 route with some mild cams on crome. I'm still learning how to tune engine management systems. Hopefully I won't blow up the 20v Those engines are getting harder to come by, especially in my area. We'll see what happens tho. Has anyone received their throttles yet?
just sayin'.
and i'm planning on trying these out if i dont hit my power goals with a standard IM set up.
Some before and after dynos would be nice; lets get some hard evidence up on here before i order mine =p

201whp Out of a stock bore, stroke b16.. hard to believe!! Bet its at adrenaline... There dyno is high..
If its a stock bore b16 with 201!!! NICE! Amazing power.
Im doing a stroker b16 so i hope to be over 200whp. I got a toda stroker kit b16, shaved head, pnp, 1mm over valves, CTR cams for now, 3 angle valve job, etc..
MY itbs will probably be ordered next week. Just sold my V x manifold and sk2 throttle body for $400 and obx are now 50mm and $600 shipped.

Re: OBX ITBs
I am almost 100% i read they are currently 50mm! Ive been reading up on bang for buck itbs and these keep popping up... Also someone said in few post back they have a plenum that bolts to these itbs.. Almost identicall to the obx plenum.. just fyi (my bad.. They said there are threads to take off so that you can put a plenum on..) i dont believe obx would release a plenum for these but who knows... anythings possible.. YOu have these itbs?

No I don't, but my cousin (Krazy One) is ordering some, he has the 48mm's coming in soon. He's being the guinea pig out of our friends to see how they perform. We have no doubts in them.

Re: OBX ITBs
It is extremely hard to take anyone serious with OBX parts on their car. Glad to see they aren't a fail and people do make power but IMO it is Kinsler or nothing. Not everyone has $2k to drop on ITB's though :p

Re: OBX ITBs
Hi,
I would disagree. How many people out here have tried OBX and are able to compare it in the same motor and prove that the "better" brands perform more superiorly and make more HP. You need to compare apples to apples. For someone on a budget or who wants to experiment I say they are the best bang for the buck.
Am using them on my car since the past 5 months and have absolutely no complaints wrt to performance.
Just my 2 bits.

Re: OBX ITBs
My buddy has them on his LS/V and he loves them. Said its his favorite mod on the whole car. Btw he made 220whp with them with an 81.5mm bore and it's his daily driver!!!
