Re: My girlfriend's F22 build
As with almost all of my builds, I focus on them being run on pump gas and streetable. After I work out a few bugs and my girlfriend settles into the car, I will change things again and really mess her up. LOL. I do intend on going higher compression and larger cams with custom rockers.

Re: My girlfriend's F22 build
I've got to mention... I posted this build on 3 or 4 sites. Everyone of them except for one has been totaly cool with the responses. I appreciate everyone of you that has posted a positive reply. It goes to show you that the majority of the readers here are of good quality and character! Great Job H-T!
I was banned from superhonda years ago for posting up timeslips that I ran with my accord. I posted dyno sheets to back it up. They said I was a liar then, and I got banned for defending myself. I took a chance and posted this build after several years of not posting and I have recieved similiar treatment today. It is amazing that a Honda website can be so narrow minded... especially when you make a post about an Accord engine in their Accord section. You would think people would be interested... I gues not.
Again, Thank you to you guys for the positive input!

Re: My girlfriend's F22 build
My h2b set-up came crashing to a halt. On the dyno I dropped a valve. The cam gear came loose. I bumped up compression, shortened the rods, and modified the header. On the good side, I had to add a bunch of fuel compared to last time. This was a good indication that things were working well. It made 271 whp and 217 wtq at 6300 RPM... then oops. It was the only pull after adding fuel. AF was between 10.8 and 11.2. I think this things is gonna rip when I get it back together.

Re: My girlfriend's F22 build
Bump for 2point6, this guy stays taking it to the next level whether H's or F's. Good luck getting the H back together man. 216wtq @6300 sounds like a solid 300+whp motor @8-8500 if it holds the tq curve and judging by the specs I bet it will! Your girlfriend is lucky to have such a setup...all I got right now is a 200whp 145wtq LSVtec in an EF and a stock '08 NHBP Si lol.

I love this build up, and to think, I know where to get two stock versions of this engine for $50................
INSPIRATION!!!!
I would love to see some videos of this car making some passes, not that I don't believe, i just wanna see it go.

I haven't been really big into F series until I got the wife an accord but I have always been a D series nut swinger, its always nice to see good numbers from sohc engines. Keep up the good work look forward to see what else you have planned for this.

Re: My girlfriend's F22 build
A few vids... Not the best as she had no seat time in the car at all.
Her 2500 lb coupe against Jerry built's 2100 K series hatch. (they are hella fast! much props)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jux0qEld2kk
Rev limiter at 7200 rpm... lol. Can't wait to get this thing up in the RPMs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6agI6oW8mUE
This is the pass she drug her e-brake for the first 60 ft. I built both cars here. The B20 is a basic RS pistoned set-up in a cut up 1600lb street car. He went 11.88 At 112. She rolled in at 12.01 at 114. Not bad for our 3100 ft elevation (4800 ft air variable elevation that day!)

Re: My girlfriend's F22 build
It is a "House of Colors" candy paint, but im not sure if he changed the color at all. It flops to a purple blue at certain angles. She will be getting her new CX hatch painted to match. STOOOPID EXPENSIVE...imo, but it's her car.

Re: My girlfriend's F22 build
i'm no tuner by any means but, to me, at first glance it looks like the camshaft doesnt want much more RPM. i know it typically falls off and doesnt really plateau like that but it still looks like a cam issue.
EDIT:
btw, badass setup and results. top notch!!!

Re: My girlfriend's F22 build
are you running bisi's X camshaft or a different one? I love this build. I have been wanting to build a F22 for some time just havent had he money. 89mm... WOW I was thinking of just going with the 86mm and using the stock bore.
Man i need to start working more and save up to build one. Wont make nearly as much power as your gf's car. I was hoping to build a 12:1 86mm f22 with a bisi 3 cam, but being layed off twice sucks. For now i just got to get my JRSC'd JDM GSR bubble running good.
