This thread is about OEM bottom ends. You better hit 225whp/145tq with those forged internals or else go back to oem internals.

Why do people always list these two parts like they are something special or some kinda mod. There is no such thing as an "ITR oil pump" or "ITR water pump". Type Rs uses the exact same water pump & oil-pump as every other B-series VTEC motor of the same year. It's just a regular P72 oil pump if the motor has a CKF, or it's the old P30 with no CKF (jdm B18C-r)...

wrong. b16/b17 pump 90-93 oil pumps are different. the 1.6/1.7 flow less oil. thats why Honda sells Pr3 pumps and P72. get it?

Thats the same thing I said except that I mistakenly typed "P30" instead of PR3. See:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 94eg! &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

I don't really believe your "oil flow" theory since ALL B-series VTEC motors that crossed over from OBD-1 to OBD-2 switched from the PR3 to the P72 pump. This includes all B16 & B18C motors. My JDM B18C-R has a PR3 pump on it. Why would Honda use it if it doesn't "flow as much oil"?

Get it?

A nice header and some cams could get you close to 200 hp. Like Grand says, 177 is about right for that motor
