The TB adapter is 1/2" thick, plenty of material to drill and tap.

thanks for the responses you guys. if i decide to eliminate my IAC system, would hondata's s300 or chrome pro software enable me to close off that circuit so the computer no longer looks for the sensor? or is that not necessary? ive never ran an engine without the IACV .... dont want CEL's

Adapter for sure, not worth welding IMO

you will have to butcher two manifolds, if you use the adapter plate and don't like the manifold, it i will be easier to resell to both H people and K series people if you use the adapter plate...

I know for sure the s300 can disable the IAC but not so sure on the chrome pro.

so i just received my Omni throttle body yesterday, i was a lil perturbed that the online store i ended up buying it off of falsely advertised it to be 70mm tapered to 69mm. well, after measuring it i came up with 68mm. not a big deal since i only paid 150 bucks for it with no sales tax or shipping. one thing i would like to mention, if anybody decides to use this Omni TB you will have to either have to cut some material off the throttle body rotor or off the QSD adapter plate(only if you have this particular TB adapter plate). all things aside the TB looks great in my eyes. its really low key, looks completely stock that is why i chose it. BTW, does anyone know if i still need to use the regular TB gasket?

thats the one im using and yes you do have to cut. i recomend shaving the adapter because if you shave the rotor you might cut the part that stops it from opening up more than 100% wot. (ask me how i know)

I am not running a regular tb gasket, just the gasket that came with the adapter.

TB>>gasket>>adapter>>mani

lol.... i found out the hard way about the TB rotor. so now i gotta do some more customizing so it will stop @ 90°. i was hoping the qsd thermal gasket would be enough
