Re: Just a Fun Topic...How much money in your motor? (bew)
I don't put $$ in my motor.. I spend it sorry just had to do it.
Let's see... my first motor cost me about 12g-got ripped off big time there
Second motor- 4g
and my newest motor- 3g and I'm just starting.
plus all the work and $$ has caused me to almost get divorced twice. Gotta get the priorities straight... car first, then wife

I don't plan on doing to much I'll dump no more than $2K over the next year or so. But suspension/tire/brakes will be another story.

For what I have put into it, I'm sure I could have done better. Although I'm very happy with the $3900 build I have.

Re: Just a Fun Topic...How much money in your motor? (Crisgo)
So far $100 for a shortblock H23 with a spun bearing and no rods or pistons.
I found H23 rods for $40 and JDM H22 pistons shouldn't cost too much.
I might actually be able to keep this sucker under $1k with machine work, but then you have the one time cost of tools as well a new clutch, flywheel, water pump, oil pump, seals, gaskets, belts, beer, cigarettes, etc.
If I'm done before next season I'll be happy as hell.
