Default HondaDseries's GSR Project Build: Suggestions welcome

I'm in the middle of a all motor Acura Integra GSR build so far I'm thinking of doing all SK2 (Skunk2) in the head (P72) upgrading all valve-train to skunk 2 this is what my build looks like! Head and block info below!

Head-GSR/P72
Stock port/still deciding
Skunk 2 alpha series valves
Skunk 2 alpha series 70mm Throttle body
APR head studs
skunk 2 keepers/lockers-valve stem seals,valve guides
Skunk 2 V-LMA (VTEC lost motion)
skunk 2 pro series valve springs-titanium retainers
skunk 2 pro+1 cams/pro cam gears
valve job done
Skunk 2 ultra street IN manifold/whale *****

Fuel management-410cc RDX injectors
255 walbro fuel pump

Block-GSR/P72
might bore to 82mm
b16-PR3 HIGH COMP Pistons
Eagle Rods/arp rod bolts
ACL Race Bearing
deciding on using stock GSR crank or going with LS
Type R Oil Pump
GSR Water Pump

pretty sure ire that all I'm not at my house now but for its not I will post what I haven't later! Any advice on power/tourqe gains always welcome thanks in advanced

I'm not sure about the alpha series valves, haven't heard much about them, but if your stock valves are in good shape just have them cleaned up and use those. porting the head will def help take advantage of the cams. I would go 81.5 bore, not 82mm. eagle rods are not really necessary, you'd be fine with stock rods/arp bolts. remember though if you are going to go ls crank you need ls rods and you'll need to block off the oil squirters. also I would ditch that intake and go with a 3inch intake pipe and a velocity stack/filter combo. rest of the build looks solid.

My $0.02, skip the port job and ultra manifold. Go forged pistons and used Victor x manifold. That way you can boost when you get tired of all motor.

The reasoning to using Eagle rods /arp rod bolts is so I can over rev the engine way passed redline I plan to build it so it can be revved out to 10k but I'm only going to 9500 rpm but I already purchased the skunk 2 manifold and the alpha valves also help so I can rev it way out their!

If you already have the parts then in my opinion I would port and get a race ultra that can flow way up top to 9500.

But if you can wheel and deal/trade to get forged pistons and a used intake manifold it will give you room to grow later on.

Or if your an all motor purist and know you will remain all motor a high flowing 1.8L 9500 all motor car is going to be bad ***.

No to all of this. That whale **** intake sucks both literally and metaphorically. It's garbage.

Who the hell still uses DSM injectors?! Use RDX if anything, ID injectors > all though.

Walbro 255 is outdated and no longer quality. AEM, Aeromotive, or Walbro 450LPH.

Why not OEM Honda bearings? They are good enough for a NASCAR V8, they are good enough for you.

No to all of this. That whale **** intake sucks.. It's bigger so I figured it being fatter and whatnot would allow more air right now I have normal AEM one and it's skinny!

Who the hell still uses DSM injectors?! Use RDX! Me lol I have friends that have them on all motor and boosted setup work great!

Walbro 255 is outdated and no longer quality.? What do you mean I've read nothing but good reviews can you show me different please do!

Don't feel like using stock OEM parts for them to dial me later on like I said I'll be going way over red line I've ask a lot of tuners and they say the setup should get good numbers and they say it looks to be a good solid build! But I'm looking for advice not wanting haters to hate just putting that out their so if nothing good useful or nice to say please don't comment

Then go ahead and do what you want. You asked for an opinion and I tried to steer you into a better direction. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to cars thinking a wider intake means it's better and length or shape is irrelevant. Read recent reviews on the Walbro 255, mine failed in 2 years... some people had them fail in 2 weeks. Calling stock OEM parts not up to par when talking about Honda bearings is the most uninformed thing I've heard. NASCAR V8's are literally machined to take H22 bearings. They often spend 3 hours at 9,000 RPM. I suppose that's not good enough proof.

Let the condition of the bores determine if you need to go to 82 or not. Don't buy Pistons until that is decided, but on an engine this old you can almost plan on just oversizing it.

It makes me kind of sad to just see "valve job done." There's a ton of performance in a proper valve job, put some more thought into than that.

X2 on sparing yourself the shitty '90s injectors, get with the program. There are very affordable options for EV14 type injectors from Injector Nation, FIC and ID have awesome products as well. There is no excuse for using crappy old junkyard parts here.

I can't believe the myth of the itr oil pump is still living on...
