Default High compression with low duration cam?

If I were to use a really mild cam say 210 degrees for my F23, would there be any problems if I had say 11.5:1 compression? Could there be too much cylinder pressure? I'm currently re-thinking my daily driver and wanting a low duration cam. I'm well aware top end will suffer, but that's not my concern. There aren't many high comression low duration builds so I had to ask.

hmmmmmmmmmm, well 11.5:1 isnt all THAT high. so im thinking it wont be a big problem. i wouldnt go back to a stock cam, id go somewhere in between what you have and stock.

11.5 is actually not that big of a jump in compression. You can even use a stock cam with that. However it wont give as good gains as a little bigger with more duration cam. Cylinder pressures wont be an issue.

11.5 is perfect for a mild cam, even a little big bigger of a cam is fine just make sure you have the fuel and timing to back it up with tuning because thats were ull see the gain. As far as the 11.5c, I ran a 12.5 poorman type r as a daily and got 28 to 30mpg lol. You should have no worry about that. If anything throw a h22 head on that block that's were you'll see the most gain instead of doing head work to that single cam head.

My goal here is to achieve the best low end and midrange power possible. 95% of the time I'll be shifting before 4K so a single cam and small ports will suit me better here I think. Plus its nice to have something unusual. I appreciate the responses, its good to know there shouldn't be any issues.
