Default COMP Cams steel retainers any good?

I'm getting all the parts together to install my buddy club spec 3 cams into my gsr. And decided to go with the Supertech 70lb springs and was going to order the Supertech steel retainers and came across the COMP CAMS 778-16 steel retainers and keepers for the b series. They are less than half the price of the Supertech's. Anyone have these retainers and keepers on there b series?

I can get the comp cams steel retainers and steel keepers for $85 shipped
vs
Supertech's steel retainers and keepers for aroung $170 shipped.

Get the steel 03-04 k20a2 flat retainers. They are snap fit with the supertech springs.

The k20a retainers are far from snap fit for those springs. I explored this option but the fit
Had too much lateral clearance in the outer spring. I would advise to get a retainer that closely locates the spring, regardless of material.

I called and spoke with a tech guy over at COMP Cams and i was told the 778-16 steel retainers are a stock replacement for the B16a,B17,B18c5 engine's.And are 33% lighter than stock units. I ended up placing an ordering for these steel retainers and steel keepers for $86 shipped. Not bad at all if you ask me.

I have a lot of ls1 2 and 3 friends who all swear by COMP Cams for all their valve train parts. I'll post some pics when i get everything in. Since it looks like not a lot of Honda guys are using these.

I ran them before without issues to 9k every time I drove it for about 10,000 miles. You should be fine.
