Search and think some more, B20's bore owns B18.

84mm?
the b20 has a larger stroke due to the crankshaft.

No.
GSR=81mm bore.
B20=84mm bore.

Correct there. The GSR has an 87.2mm crank, the B20 has an 89mm crank

Damn. And here I was thinking it had more stroke due to the camshafts.

To CC;
Rod length will also give you move stroke.

Re: built gsr v built b20vtec (b20beast83)
rod length will not give you more torque, nor will it give you more hp.
except maybe a high rpm application. even then, rod ratio only means better efficiency way up high in the rpm range, which in turn CAN lead to more power. but going by what you are saying, the rod length itself does not make more power
