Default built bottom end/stock head

ok im a n00b to the all motor scene. so help me out guys. ive been doing a lot of reading about over camming. i will have hondata next month, i have an obd1 b18c, comptech icebox, skunk2 intake mani, 4-1 exhaust mani, tanabe mandrel bent piping w/magnaflow muffler, just incase this helps with my question. the shop i deal with can get me a pre built 2.0L sleeved, block gaurd, rings, pistons, rods(everything aftermarket, cant remeber the exact companies at the moment), compression of choice, the block is built by ERL. with 12:1cr will i be ok with my stock head for awhile until i get figure out what head components will work with my bottom end?

You say compression of choice and then 12.1:1 This is confusing...

BUT, to answer the questions, it WILL work, but a CR that high genarally begs for an aggressive cam It will settle the dymanic compression ratio quite a lot.

You may have problems with it running really hot too.
sleeved blocks and high compression = loads of heat

when i said compression of choice, i was listing the parts that came with the ERL block. my choice is 12:1. so it would be better just to build everything at once?
