Default Beware!!! Wiseco piston company quality control

Beware!!! wiseco piston company quality control

Here is what happen i bought a set of custom h22a piston from wiseco. u know what the wiseco company forget to put my oil rail support in my set of custom piston. Below is what happen

i bought a set of custom h22a piston from wiseco and all new performance parts for my engine so my garage spray my new engine bay and tuck in all the wire to be very neat like show car. when come to engine buliding my garage ask that all the set of piston and rings and so from wiseco come in. So my mechanic ask me everything in i say yes so my mechanic start to fix the engine which took aroud 3 months because short of manpower. by the time i fix up the engine to my engine bay to start the cra was around 5 months for the time to try out the car. U know what the car starts at one crank but the more u drive the more white smoke came out. My mechanic thought i was the valve seal so change it but still white came out. then many other mechanic from other shop came to view all was like wondering what happen to this car. So my mechanic try to change the valve seal the second time in one day. But still the same white smoke came out. The smoke can fog out a line on the road. Because i need to use the car so i take the car out for use. i was surprise that my car only travel 100 km drink around 2 litre engine oil. ****. So every mechanic i know of in nearby shop ask me where i got my custom set of wiseco piston from. i said from a wiseco dealer. But the problem my mechanic say my set of custom wiseco piston does not have a logo at the skirt. My mechanic ask me whether this set of wiseco is a knockoff set. In order to find out i sent the spec sheet to wiseco to check that whether the set of wiseco piston was a knockoff set. Wiseco said it is a real custom wiseco without any logo. So i sent my piston photo to wiseco ask them what is the problem. U know what they told me that i do not have oil rail support in my piston causing it to burn excessive engine oil. But that i have in my that set of custom piston. Now i ask my seller he said that he contacted wiseco saying that wiseco forget to put the oil rail support in the assembly line. I really wonder Wiseco as a gobal piston company have what kind of quality control ???

Now i have to take out everything loss few bucks to redo the engine. This really Sucks.

Yes the custom wiseco pistons with coating doesn't come with their logo on the skirts.

I am not picking sides but the issue could've been prevented if BOTH sides brought it up. If Wiseco forgot to include the oil rail support with you pistons, your engine builder that you trusted and are PAYING to assemble the engine should've known better and caught it.

Post a picture of the Wiseco spec sheet and piston.
You should be scary of your engine if the engine builder did not see that, seriously.

Who ordered the custom part from Wiseco? Maybe they specified an incorrect piston and they are now blaming wiseco. Either way I am sorry to hear what happened.

I would establish direct.communication with wiseco instead of going by what he said she said.

Is this an actual engine builder, or some shade tree mechanic that mostly does oil changes and brake jobs?

You really should be asking him how he missed that.

My mechanic thought it was a wiseco custom spec so fix up the engine with what ever that was in the wiseco box. We have faith in wiseco but look what happen. Is wiseco who forgot to put in the oil rail support. Qc from wiseco??? i really wonder

There is one other case where wiseco give the wrong set of piston ring of different bore. What quality control is that from a performance piston company.

The ultimate quality control always lies with the engine builder

he should have also noticed that you know.. the ring was wayyyyy smaller than the groove.

Or maybe they did put it in the box and your guy didnt see em or didnt know what they were for. The support rail is not in the same bag as the rings, the come in a separate package.

Sounds like a case of "you get what you pay for." Was this "mechanic" cutting you one hell of a deal when you asked him to build your engine? If so, well...

if a piston set custom or standard

arrived with no oil control rings....

it doesnt get installed...

an amateur mechanic , a diy guy and a profesional builder knows this...

production line can miss out odd things maybe this is a one out of a hundred case that it happend and its a custom set.. so thats not highly unusual...

but even my kid brother knows no custom piston will have no oil control rings AND yet have an oil control ring groove at the piston...

im sorry but stupid...

Contact wiseco. Companies like them will typically have people who all they do is package boxes and ship them out. They typically sign for each part this is supposed to be in the order.

Posting a rant here because they were either not put in the box, were misplaced by your builder....whatever the case isn't going to fix your situation.

Allow wiseco the chance to make it right IF it was their fault. If they have a sign off list as I am referring to, they will be able to tell you if they were in the box upon leaving their factory. If they were....you know who to look towards for more answers.

But this does nothing for you and wiseco isn't exactly an unknown company out there to get people.
