Default bearing clearances regarding allmotor... opinions.

tight or loose?

I always followed oem bearing thickness with 5/30 weight oil... like to get other peoples opinions.. allmotor mind you, not turbo..... all engines run oil coolers.

loose= more power, less reliability

tight= less power, more reliability

loose= race car

tight= street car

my opinion.

Thats pretty much about right Skribblah.

But i think it also pays to consider the power output, rev limit of the engine. What good is it to follow OEM guidelines, if power output and rev limit are not OEM. Im not talking about throwing them out the window, but maybe adding half a thou or two.
