Default b20vtec oil light flashing

so i was driving my car today and when i came to a stop light my car started to idle funny then shut off at the same time as i stopped my oil light was flashing i checked oil wasn't low checked oil sending unit it was plugged in so i started it up and it was doing a idle surge and oil light was still flashing so then i pulled over into a gas station and looked over the car some more for anything leaking but found nothing so i let the car sit for a while and started back up and idle surging was gone and oil light was off but i cant seem to figure out why it idle surged and why my oil light started flashing im getting a oil pressure gauge tonight to see if maybe my oil pump is starting to give out

Get a manual oil pressure gauge and check your oil pressure.

If your oil light came on due to low oil pressure...the sensor was seeing less than like 5-7 lbs of oil pressure.

Well, don't be a brain-dead idiot and drive the car....unless you WANT to rebuilt your engine.

so i finally got a oil pressure gauge put on my car at idle im at 20 psi and at 3k til about 8300 im at 80 psi so i would assume oil pump is good what i did notice is that from first start up til about 160 miles on the engine i was running valvoline 5w30 i did a oil change yesterday and switch to castrol 10w30 and it made a significant diffrence car seems to run a lot stronger and it dosent seem to stumble and dip low in rpms anymore also i think my oil sending unit was leaking
