B20B Vtec Build *HELP*
Hello everyone,
This is my first post here on Honda-tech. About a month ago I bought a B20B engine on a local store here in Puerto Rico called MF motor import. It has really really low millage, so I decided to start to build this daily engine on my integra before i start a B18C1 Darton that I have. I have 2 B16 PR3 heads, both are stock (cams, gears, springs and retainers). One is from 1990 and its stamped PR3-3, the other one says 1999 and PR3-4.
I just want a daily use, B20B vtec engine, with more or less 230hp. I already bought ARP head studs (#208-4303), ARP rod bolts, gates timing belt, 4-1 header, ACT Pressure plate, 6 puck clutch with 7.5 flywheel and YCP PR3 84mm pistons.
So my questions are,
-Will stock rods hold up fine with rod bolts?
-Which head should i use? (one has more port work than the other)
-Should I buy OEM 22t water pump and OEM Type R oil pump or non-honda ones will do fine?
-Block guard or not?
-Which ACL bearings should I buy?
