Default b16a2 head on GSR Block

I bought a b16a2 head and have been looking for a block to pair it with.
I found someone selling a b18c1 (GSR) block for a great price and it seems the local market is pretty dry.
I read in the forums that this swap stock loses compression making it not worth it but I don't have much choices.
Every time I look up this swap in the search I cant find anyone who actually mentioned a successful story just everyone rejecting the swap or telling their stories..
Am I able to just swap the piston heads to b16 ones and fix that issue or will I run into clearance issues?

My plan is just to have an oem like strong feeling dohc engine with vtec to swap out the old tired d series.

The difference is ~0.2 compression points from a P72 head to a PR3 head.

I think to say it's 'not worth it' to put a B16 head on a B18C block is an absolutely ignorant statement (at least without context) and those people should generally be ignored... Maybe if you had a complete stock running B18C1 and all you are intending to do is swap the head and leave everything else the same, but that's not your situation at all.

P72 pistons are pretty flat topped, and in fact a stock GS-R is lower compression than a stock B16A. If you're picking up a short block, there's definitely no harm in going through it and rebuilding and adding higher comp pistons. P73-00 (JDM ITR) are a great option for a budget street/pump gas build along with all of the ITR 'clone' pistons out there.

If you add pistons, yes. Otherwise it’s a 9.8:1cr GS-R. Slightly more if the bottom end is jdm.

Thank you for the response imma look into p73-00 pistons for this combination. Would I just use the stock gsr rods/crank/bottom with the p73-00 pistons? Yeah in this case not many blocks are available where I live and this GSR short block came up for a good price. Basically I just wanted to know if I put b16a2 pistons or itr typer piston on a stock gsr rods/crank/bottom end if its gonna fix the big loss of compression using a pr3 head on a gsr block and not have issues. The issue i was having researching is all the back in forth on the poor mans type r just for the forum string to just end with nothing being agreed upon or solved just a dead thread
