Default b16 all motor build questions?

hey ht ive been playin wit hondas the last coupe years i picked up a 00 em1 bout 6 months back it was sitting in a field after doing a full wire tuck and repaintin my bay i decided to put my p30 b16 into it. now i want more power an i was wanting to go all motor since its already higher compression. i have a skunk intake mani aem short ram dc full 2 1/2. i wanna make it for auto x and show since shes titleless. ive been doin some research and ive seen people talkin bout using a b18 block with ctr or p30 pistons would this be better to do than usin a b16 bottom end. i have a b18 bottom end with a spun bearing. can i use my b16crank and rods? more or less i just wanna no wat pistons cams valves springs pistons headgasket or bottom end is better to go with i wanna try for 200+ whp

Yeah he could, which would require b16b rods, but.....why would he de-stroke a 1.8 just to have a 1.6 again?

Running the B16A crank in the B18 block with 85mm pistons is actually what I was referring to. So yes, you are correct, in stating that it would be useless to use the B16A crank without resleeving for more capacity. The one noteworthy benefit would be the greatly improved rod ratio he would obtain from the B16A crank~B18 block combo.

The OP expressed his desire for more power. I would not try to gain more displacement (power) by ONLY increasing the stroke. Stroke is only part of the equation. In fact, stroke only has HALF of the overall impact on power production that the bore does. Displacement is calculated as follows: Bore X Bore X Stroke X .7854 X #of Cylinders. In this particular case, if he does not ALSO increase the bore then he would be denying himself of a significant amount of power potential.
