Default 2.0l NA build, Skunk2 Ultra Street Manifold & DD Tech cams

Hi Guys,

Been using the OBX 48mm ITB's for about a year now with no issues other than it getting really loud under Vtec.

Also my tuner suggested on switching to a regular Intake like a Performer X with a 68mm TB for better gains.

My stock intake has been stolen by the old tuner so now need a complete new intake system.

Need your help on what brands to go in for the following stuff. The engine is a 2.0l Type R sleeved block 85.5mm with 11.5:1 compression built and assembled by Logic Motorsport. Head is a B16 ported & assembled by Portflow and cams are S2 Tuner 2 . Injectors are Precision 440 CC. Hondata S300 V2 with CPR kit

1> Intake Manifold
2> Throttle Body 68mm or any other suggestions.
3> Fuel Rail
4> Map Sensor
5> TP Sensor
6> IAC Valve

On current setup car made 205whp on 91 Octane. What can i do to improve the performance of my existing setup.

Budget is not a criteria but do not want to go in for super expi stuff either. Would like my car to perform well in the mid range as well and not only for top end power.

Lemme know if you guys need any more info from me.

the performer x is the better choice because the victor x will shift your power band later. if you're looking for mid range go with the performer x . those 48 mm itbs are for a 1.8 liter

Even with mine bored out to 50MM, they were still choking the motor. Overall i was impressed with obx on the itbs.. some cleaning up, porting and boring really allowed them to shine to a point.

I went back to a custom manifold. Food for thought, if they were bigger, i would have kept em.

Hi,

Thanks for all the inputs guys. Need answers for points 2 & 3 and also names of a vendor/s who could hook me up for all the stuff I need. Its a lot easier buying from one vendor so that I save on shipping costs.

U have this set up on yours?
I've been looking everywhere for dyno comparison with ultra street on NA setup with no luck. I am planning to get one soon, but want to see the dyno number.

Hi

I can update this thread once the products are installed and dynoed. Would be interesting to know the gains.

I plan to first test the new manifold & tb with existing skunk2 tuner 2 cams and then the DD tech to know how much i gained.

Update Time

I finally took a call sometime in mid May and went ahead and ordered a whole bunch of goodies for the car which I will list below. All the stuff was procured thru Derek Dunbar (All Motor) who got me some mind blowing deals. He provided one of the best purchase experiences I have ever had followed up with some top notch customer service.

He would be available and respond to all my silly queries professionally and efficiently. Got the stuff in the 1st week of July as some of the parts were back ordered and i was in no great hurry. Then began another long and agonizing wait for my tuner to come (Zakie Ismail from Sri Lanka who is Hondata/Motec & AEM certified tuner). He could only come in the month of October as he had a very busy schedule.

Parts Ordered.

1> Skunk2 Ultra Street Manifold
2> Skunk2 Alpha series 70MM TB
3> Grams 750CC injectors
4> Skunk2 Composite Fuel Rail
5> Skunk2 Low Profile Valve Cover Washer kit
6> DD Tech custom cams
7> Logic Motorsports Tri-Y Headers

Anyways to cut things short he finally arrived on the 22nd of this month and installed all the parts. Had a lot of issues installing the fuel rail as the pipe sizes and adapter were all different from what I had in my car. Have made some temporary alternate arrangements(makeshift) so that the tuner can finish tuning the car as he has to fly back. Will tidy up the engine bay, wiring, relocate fuel filter & FPR once he goes.

Car is gonna go for some street tuning now & headed for the dyno in the evening.

Attaching some pics till then and a video of the startup.
