Post 12:5 82 mm build

82 mm ls/v approximately 12:5 static compression ratio according to c-speed. I currently have buddy club spec 3's but I am thinking the motor will be under cammed. I am looking into selling them and going with some pro 1's but i haven't found the right cam for 12:5 compression. Looking to make more then 200 on the motor. Any suggestions on the right cam??

Head has been ported/polished/3 angle valve job
Picking up an aebs gsr intake manifold
68 mm tb
Bisimoto v2 header

People don't pick cams just on static compression. Likewise. Ur cam and compression aren't the 2 main things that determine ur peak power. Go to the FAQ section n read up on similar setups

Running on E85 is not an option i'd like to resort to since it is my dd. Find it pointless really. I'm not driving around racing. Professor, I have researched similar setups but haven't found one quite like mine as far as other mods as well.

Tuner 2's or similar size. IMO you dont have enough compressio/displacement to utilize a cam that big. Is the head ported? What intake manifold? what header? what size TB? you can put the biggest cams in the world in it, but if its choked off everywhere else, it isnt going to do ****

12.5 is certainly enough compression for the majority of the cams out.
Compression is 1/10th the equation to making power..if he would answer your questions with details we could proceed futher, however he hasn't.

I'd recommend pro1's or something of that nature, or even my Stage 1 cams, which would be comparable to the M22xx's just custom made for your setup.

Normally you would build your motor around your cam profile.. but since you're providing a base with it, we can only give you options upon the information you've given us.

whats so "custom" about your cams? what are you changing that would yield better results on his particular set-up than just going with the M22xx's? im not asking for the nitty gritty just the thought behind your theory.

To the OP another option which makes alot more sense would be to talk to your tuner, he/she would also have insight on what does/doesnt work for your particular set-up.

My setup is an ls/vtec with cp 82mm 12:5 and some pro 1. Power is 205WHP and 150lb of torque with pump gas.

Here is a video of the race car.

After some testing and advice some motors like biggerr intake Cam and smaller exhaust cam. Others like the same size and some viceverae. I take an engines mods and then take the base of the cam and modify to what I've learn an engine will like. No two Cams are the same and so far I've had nothing but great feedback from my buyers...and honestly the more Ppl who use the more info I have to better devolop cam profiles..

Any dyno comparisons or graphs in general? Or do these pieces of feedback come with no comparison to any other cams?

There's a few guys on this site, who comparing vs the pro2's and what not.. those will be solid comparsion.. as for my advice, i get that from various people who have seen what works and what doesn't..

I'm hoping to start a line of graphs here shortly, starting with Tonio's build.

00red_si, bought my stage 2's which he can compare to the pro2's.. but he compared the pro2's to the m22x's and basically made the same power..i'm hoping to slaughter those cams with my stage 2's.

Tonio bought my Demons, my all out, all motor race cams. He'll be comparing them vs the pro2's, in which he already made 242 whp on the pro2's.

1998INTEGRAGSR, is using my stage 1's in his dad's CTR GSR build..i dont believe he'll have any comparsion's but it'll be a nice shot of how they do on a oem built motor.

Chad will be using our Stage 1's in our shops oem lsvtec... as well as my GF's bone stock b18c. I'll be doing some test on her car as well, money's starting to come in so i'm able to spend alittle bit to fund my own testing. I have a few other guys here and there who have said they will compare vs other cams but that will take time i'm sure. I've sold a good amount, and from "butt" dynos, the people are happy with them. I'm hoping within the next month i can send a set or two your way to test on some motors you have.

Thats what i'm trying to offer.. something that isn't in the norm. A cam thats made how you want it, or whats best for your motor for the same price as a off the shelf cam, seems reasonable to me.

I honestly believe when these people provide dyno plots, the guessing game will be over for the disbelievers.

I have another person who just bought a set of cams who was making around 190whp on some crower 2's, he bought my stage 1's and i believe he'll break 200+whp from just the cam swap, thats another person who will also post up a dyno plot.. i sell the majority of the cams via pms on here.

Hey all motor, my cousin and I are looking for cams for his RS machine piston b20vtec and currently running JUN3s. Looking at the pro2s, but would like to try something different too. Any specials if we can include dyno results against the JUNs?

i have a similar build but im gonna be using bc spec 4 cams..i was also wondering about pro2s...looks like 210 is the most u can get out of a 1.8l...so im considering taking it apart n building a b20 block..see if i can hit 240whp...

Give me a good price for your DEMONS all out race cam and I'll have a comparison with them against the pro3's.
