Bloody hell... that's a broad question. It depends what kind of look you want. So many "styles" can look great.
Wheels pics/styles: http://flickr.com/photos/busse...age=3
Your OEM offset is +55mm by the way, if you didn't know. For reference, a 7.5in wide wheel on 225 section tyres, with an offset of +40mm, will sit fairly flush with the arches. That's not to say you can't go more extreme. Plenty of people have done it.
Obivously you have to adjust offset/width combo's to get a decent fitment.
As for a drop to look "hot as fire", get the wheels you're happy with then buy some decent coilovers and drop it to your liking.

ZOMG GET ROTAS!!
lol but on a serious note, I would personally lower the car before you get the rims. Or get both at the same time. Like Yoshimi said, there many different "styles" that look great. I would get what you think would look the best and then get a good width/offset to sit good with the fender arches.

Go my route , Could not get a Wheel that Stood out , so as a result i opted for 3pc forged
245/35 ZR19 9.5j on the Rear with a 3.0" Dish
235./35ZR19 7.5j On the Front with a 1.5" Dish
It Looks Awesome
Hit my website for more details or PM me

The limit to what you can achieve is limited only by your imagination.

Volk TE37's ftw. Those wheels look good on any car. Size and offset are up to you. I recommend Ti Silver, White, or Traditional Bronze, but that's just my .2

Why are some people putting wider rims in the rear of a tsx. The tsx is fwd. Putting wider rims in the rear will make an already understeering car understeer even more. lame!
