Alright so i changed my lower ball joints, got the car aligned today plus I swapped out my front pads and disks for Brembo Blanks with Hawk HP+ brake pads soince the old ones were making the steering vibrate under braking.

While changing the brakes, I realized my passenger side caliper's piston won't retract all the way in. I had to take it off the car and use a press to press the piston all the way to its resting point.

Now with the new pads and disks the vibration is still in the steering wheel and even more prominent than before I swapped them out. Also my pads are always against the rotor due to the piston that won't fully retract on its own. I'm guessing this is causing the vibration sometimes when I am highway cruising... the cruising vibration goes away after a couple of brake pumps..

Why is it still vibrating? I changed the rotors and pads and have done maybe 150 kms and its still vibrating under braking. Plus now when I brake hard the car will pull to the left (the side where the caliper is 100% good)

In terms of overheating the rotors, the vibration upon braking is even right when i get in the car after not being driven for the entire night. It even has a jerky feeling when braking at slower speeds as if the rotor is crooked and rubs on the pad... i donno really how to explain it..

Could the faulty caliper be causing the vibration?

Check all front end parts. Also, if the caliper wouldn't go in all the way, replace both front calipers and be done.

If you still have problems after swapping front calipers.....make sure the rear is working as well. If the rear isn't doing it's job then the front is working too hard.

If I swap out the one for a rebuilt OEM unit would there be a problem if I only change the one instead of both?

replace caliper that is sticking, you do not want that on the car. Reman unit is fine, only replace the one that is sticking, leave the other one, no need to change.

Depending on tsx proportioning valve it will have one of the calipers closest to it and I think it is front left. This will result in those pads lasting the least and getting the most pressure to the caliper, this is normal.
OP your car pulling to the left could be result of issues with you right caliper and it not actually doing anything or just partial job. replace that caliper, bleed the system and test drive.

Boost your wrong sir. Hes talking about braking not accelerating. And the one caliper definately needs replacing op.you probably need to take your rotorz and have them checked to make sure yiu did not warp them.

Canged the caliper and the problem persisted, finally decided to fork out for another new rotor.

Fixed my problem!

Cliffs for Fix:

- New Caliper
- New rotor on seized caliper side

The brake force distribution is about 80% front brakes and 20% rear brakes.
