Acura announced today the addition of a TSX sport wagon to its 2011 vehicle lineup. Arriving at Acura dealerships in the Fall of 2010, the TSX sport wagon will be based on the popular TSX sports sedan, which features balanced performance, advanced technology and bold styling.
Additional information on the 2011 TSX sport wagon will be announced at a later date.

Actually sounds intriguing . Although I'm sure they won't be likely to offer up anything "special" performance wise - even though its called a Sport wagon. Not that it can't be done on the side.

Re: Ready For the TSX Wagon? :-)
Compared to a Passat Wagon or Jetta wagon this is cleary the "sporty" body style.
Audi has a decent shape but Acura seems to be more aggressive in sharp lines.
I mean compare this wagon to say an E Class wagon and the dated rounded Benz will look "granpa-ish" in comparison in terms of styling.
The new E will be sharper in lines but Benz has all but given up on offering a wagon for the new E Class here.
That leaves maybe BMW 5 wagon, maybe a 3 series wagon?
I think of the choices available this particular wagon will be a nice "sporty" looking ride without any "bangle" mishaps like the BMWs.
Looks good...and at least it doesnt have the hideous Acura silver grill piece...yuk
Edit: Looking at the picture closer thats at Honda version so god help us if acura slaps that front grill piece on...I hate it

Wah wah wah!.
Is it me or does it seem like the wheels and rims are a bit to small for it. Don't tell me people are going to start throwing D's on that bitch ahaha. Jk
It looks okay IMO, but it does still look like a damn Dodge Magnum in a way.
I was just wondering would the Wagon will have more torque compared to the sedans.

I just spooged.
If this comes in a 2.4L 6MT version, I'm getting one to replace my CR-V.
If there's no manual transmission available, well then Honda will have let me down yet again. I don't expect the Accord Crosstour or the ZDX to be made available with a manual, but I do expect the TSX wagon to have three pedals. It is a "sport wagon" after all . . .
I'd prefer the diesel version but since that won't happen, I'm fine with the K24 as well.

Wow. That's really very interesting. I'd wonder how they're going to ramp up to produce enough of the new six speed gearboxes for them, but that's great news.

Re: Ready For the TSX Wagon? :-)
I wouldn't put stock in anything other than FWD, automatic, 2.4L, and probably the 3.5L at this point. I'm going to cross my fingers for a manual trans but I don't think I'll hold my breath. I'm floored that they're even seriously considering offering the wagon here. Lord knows I'd love to see a J-series TSX Tourer with SH-AWD and a 6MT+LSD, but I think I can read Honda well enough to know that they're too conservative to pull a stunt like that.
SH-AWD is quite a stretch and its rumor seems to be based more on wishful thinking than reality, especially considering that it isn't available or expected to be available on the sedan - and yes, I am aware that the subframes and chassis are already designed to accomodate it.

I love it. Been waiting for it for the last 5 years to replace or accompany my 93 Accord wagon with 5MT. I hope I could get the basic non Tech Package with 6MT.

I can see them offering the K24 with six speed, because the parts are on the shelf and the cars are already pre-configured for that setup.
But I don't think it's likely they'd be able to get enough access to enough of the new high strength J Motor + six speed combination to be able to offer it.
The last time I heard anybody talk about it, the new six speed manual is an extremely low production, expensive item that was produced specifically for the 305 HP 3.7 litre motor.
If by some miracle there is a J Motor + six speed + SH-AWD combination, then this car would move to the top of the list of potential new cars for me.

Re: Ready For the TSX Wagon? :-)
SH-AWD is a stretch, but if you see any of the new TSXs from underneath, they left a lot of room for such a setup (driveshaft, rear diff). It's the only car without it now at this moment.
I wish they brought over the 04-08 version when they introduced the TSX.
