Default 04-07 Acura TSX? Whats the difference?

Okay, I am planning on buying a 2004 or a 2005 Acura TSX 6speed manual....

I know that it's only called a TSX in the North America and in Hong Kong (I think)... But its a Honda Accord in other countries especially in the UK where it's a Euro R!

And comparing all the body parts on the 04-07 Acura TSX... I notice that the body is the same besides the Front bumper... So how come when I go to them JDM sites... They have different parts for the 02-04 and 05-07 Honda Accord Euro R?

Is there a difference in the Headlights and Taillights? I can see that the 06-07 Models, the TSX/Accord has a different Front Bumper from the 04 models (not sure about the 2005)

And from viewing very close, I see that the Acura TSX headlights have amber in it then the JDM Honda Accord version where it's clear!

So if you can help me out here...

Is there a changed in the 04-07 Acura TSX like...

* for example there's the 94-97 Acura Integra and the 98-01 Acura Integra where the front and rear bumper was changed + the headlights too?

I saw a post in another thread, but since the OP here asked about head lights, I want to ask, whats the difference between JDM and USDM headlights?

(Someone was wanting JDM lights in another thread)

Headlights allow more light to project up from horizontal off to the passenger side, to see road signs.

With JDM headlights, the passenger side is now oncoming traffic. This leaves the choice of either blinding oncoming traffic, or aiming them much lower than intended (which no one does, you can't see as far).

Otherwise, Japan does not require the same marker lamps and reflectors that the US does, which could end up being minor cosmetic differences in the whole housing.

I do not know what the specific differences are for TSX lights.

I will say, running JDM headlights on anything that isn't a 100% pure show car (as in, the car gets driven on public roads) is illegal, and people doing so should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law (or a baseball bat). It is NOT acceptable to blind others on the road because someone wanted "M4d tyt3 JDM lites y0!".

You can also swap over the USDM projectors into the JDM/EDM headlights to get the correct HID cutoff.

^ why bitch? The TSX projectors are one of the best out there and what do you mean to get correct HID cutoff. Their lights do aim a little high but other than that, everything about the HID setup is correct. Why would anyone wants to go through the trouble of opening up the bumper to open up the headlights and swapping out the projectors? just to be JDM? The projectors already have: 1) sharp cutoff lines, 2) has plenty of colors, 3) have clear lenses (04-06). So what else is there that one would still be unsatisfy with the TSX projectors?

aside from exterior differences, the engine has been slightly upgraded for the 06-08 models; mainly the head, bigger intake valves, better cam profiles, intake manifold, throttlebody, as well as the ecu's programming has been enhanced to take advantage of these newer parts..

there are a lot of differences... all matters if you are talking asthetics, engine, ect. katman basically nailed the engine stuff (k24a vs k24z). interior features i think are bluetooth standard (i think) passenger power seat, different instrument cluster, auto locks/unlocks when starting to move/turn off car.. there are other things too i can't think of. i have an 04 6speed and love it.

Who said they were unsatisfying? Did I say anything was wrong with the projectors?

I was clearing giving an alternative approach for people with EURO/JDM Headlights.

Some people like the look of the euro-r headlights. Not sure if you are blind? The corner lenses are different.

Because JDM Headlights blind oncoming traffic.

TunerN00b gave a good point on the cutoff differences.

No it isn't. I don't know how many times i've read that and where people are getting that from but it's wrong, we don't get any form of Accord R - Type, Euro or otherwise.

Aaaand... when it comes to cutoff and lights...

eudm = jdm is WRONG.

ukdm = jdm is right.

In europa we drive on the same side of the road as the US. Only exception is in England/UK.

So if you want the "JDM" headlights for the cosmetics, go for a set form a random place in europe. It will look the same as the JDM and have the cutoff suited for driving on the roads in the US.

Just a bit of info from me.
