Anone test drive the '04 TL yet?
I've seen a couple on the road now and I really like the look of them. I'll be in the market for a 4 door pretty soon. I read a couple articles about the '04 and I also like the fact it can come with a 6 speed and navigation. Let me know some opinions. Thanks!

Hell yeah, I'd get the 6 speed with Brembos.
I've already "built" the car on the Acura site 3 times, haha.
I think I can do without the "performance" tires though, as I recall the stock "performance" tires on D's old itr were not the safest for daily driving.
Make me a deal Lenny!!

I bought one on Friday. I have put 700+ miles over the weekend. A 630 mile drive from Portland to San jose makes that real easy. At first the car seemed floatly in the rain. But now i feel solid in it. Maybe the tires were just really new or had some conditioner on it. But I am loving the 6 speed. The shifts are really quick and percise. Get it.
I will post pictures Sometime this week.

God I ******* love this car... I saw a black one a few days ago, I almost lost it. I wish the TSX had the fancy DTS 5.1 channel DVD Audio ****, that is something my next car will most definately have.

Oh, and you people who own them, have you found any cool undocumented features of the car yet? How much did you end up paying?

the only thing i found that i wasn't aware of after reading through the brochure about 20 times and browsing the tl page on acura.com for about 2 weeks solid was the blue led "mood lights." at night they shine down on the console... kind of like those blue led lights that plug into the cigarette lighter, but they're integrated into the car up by the sunroof controls. it's a really nice touch.
also, it has foglights that are where you would expect the brights to be. the headlights are bi-xenon hid's, which means the brights are activated by adjusting the cutoff point of the lowbeams.

Re: Anone test drive the '04 TL yet? (stick)
btw, i think i saw a bill board that said the g35 comes with real time awd. The bill board said "awd when you need it in the snow" can anyone confirm that nissan added awd to the g35? if so.. that'll be hella nice.
3.2 Tl, how is the dbw? I love the front end of that car, its sooooo agressive. When isee it in my rear view mirror, i get pretty intimidated. Hows the tq steer since its pushing so much hp? I heard the steering isn't affected as much as the maxima (265hp) and the altima (240hp)

Wow, sounds like they are great cars! I'll testdrive one as soon as this weather clears again.
I love the style of the 2 door G35, but the 4 door just doesn't do it for me.

Re: Anone test drive the '04 TL yet? (GSRgrrl)
I pick up my Black-on-Black with Navi this coming Saturday. I'm selling my current ride (a 2001 CLK55) because I need 4-doors. Will be sad to loose the performance of the Benz (Zero to sixty in 4.9) but have heard that there are a lot of plans in the works for this new TL (Headers +35HP, Heads + 40HP and potentially a supercharger). According to the trade mags the factory brakes on the auto are a little anemic. However, these can be replace with the Brembos (asa part of the A-spec package or individually). I may do that and the A-spec suspension. The NAVI units are in high demand as Acura under-estimated the demand. All dealers around here will only be getting a few with NAVI over the next two months. I was able to snag this one when another guy backed out. Needless to say there's not much discount for such an in-demand car. I was able to get $400 off and 2 years of "free" maintenance thrown in. Can't wait!

Very nice purchase. But...somebody is blowing smoke up yuor ***. No way to get 75 hp from headers and heads. The cats are bolted to the exh manifolds and 40 hp from heads, pfft, never. Sorry.

My dad just bought one. The 6 speed, and i drove it all weekend. Its an awesome car. Handles alot like the ITR , has a good degree of step out in the Rear...
Brakes are great ...but still feels like a heavy car.
Radio .....is just awesome .......cept for the rear center sub ....its a tad weak...and can easily distort .....
3 free months of XM radio ...OMG ...that **** is awesome .....

they got that from mercedes, our E has those splattered in various places. it is a very nice touch.
drove a new TL the other day while getting my car serviced. what a wonderful ride. much improved, although slightly smaller than the previous model.
and, yes the new G35 offers awd now. it is similiar to the GTR's system. and like mercedes and bmw, it is more rwd baised in dry conditions.

Ive driven my dads a few times...
Its an auto, but it has tons of power on tap, far more then I expected... Very nice car, rides a little stiff... but it makes up for it in the corners.
Makes my 30v 5spd V6 audi feel sooo slow
