Hey Guys,

Just wanted some input on this problem. The Tl has this ticking, like a loose lifter when it is in drive and sometimes when its in park as well. The dealer said its normal and they said its the fuel injector. I dont believe that it is normal. I use 91 octane gas and treat the car very well. It has 76k miles on it. It sounds like the lifter's closet to the front of the engine, right by the timing belt. Anyone else had this problem?

1. TL does not have lifters

2. It could be
a. valves
b. fuel injector(s)
c. purge solenoid

Have you checked the timing belt tensioner? They can wear out and make noise...

no havent checked the timing belt, it not it. must be the fuel injector. is that normal? and i explained it wrong instead of a tick, its like a loose cling:::::cling:::::cling, then it stops for a second then cling:::::cling:::::cling. its not super loud but noticable if your standing outside the car.
